Weird Feelings

"Gween Peterson! How many times have I told you not to be late!" that's the first sentence that greeted me when I arrived at the office. I gave my boss a big grin, Miss Clarke and gave her the documents she needed right now. She accepted the stack of paper in confusion. "Sorry, you know that I stayed up late to finish the documents you asked for so I woke up late," I said openly. Miss Clarke groaned in disgust and said, "fortunately you are diligent and the most reliable employee. If not, you will fired from here long time ago" "hey! You can't survive without me, Miss Clarke," the woman who is now twenty-eight could only sigh and ignore my comment. She chose to check my work and when nodding in satisfaction she said, "Today, the big boss will have a meeting with the CEO of Andonov Corp. So today will be busier than usual" "Andonov Corporation? I just heard the name of that company," I murmured softly. Miss Clarke widened her eyes and looked at me with a look of disbelief. "Did you just hear that? Gosh! it's a multi-national company and it's known everywhere and you say you just heard it?" she cried horror. I just shrugged and dismissed what she said as if I had just returned from the wilderness. Is it something wrong if I don't know that company? I'm not Google who can find out all the information and I don't want to bother memorizing all the names of multi-national companies spread all over the world. That's not my job. "Don't blame me if I hate the news. That program is boring" I commented lazily. "Hush young lady, you can't comment like that," said Miss Clarke firmly. "Okay fine, so what should I do now?" I asked in the end relenting. Miss Clarke just sighed and shook her head in surrender. "OK I'll go to my desk" I moaned and spread my arms wide. Trying to stretch my tired muscles from sitting and typing for so long. My eyes were fixed on the clock on the wall and saw the clock at twelve o'clock in the afternoon. I got up from the chair and reached for my wallet and cellphone from my bag. After making sure my laptop is off and the drawer is locked, I walk towards the elevator in the middle of the floor. I waited in front of the elevator with my other colleagues. We talked briefly about the meeting to be held or just gossiping about celebrities on TV. The imagination of food continued to change, making my stomach ring softly continuously. Luckily everyone was busy talking to the sound of my stomach muffled and no one heard the sound of my stomach which was very embarrassing. The tinkle of the elevator finally rang out and the iron door slowly opened. I along with others stepped in and someone immediately pressed the ground floor. The elevator began to move down and impatience began to suffer me because of the urge to ask to be filled, but at the same time I also have to be patient because from the twentieth floor to the ground floor can be quite long if each floor stops. I sighed when finally the elevator arrived at the ground floor and the iron door slowly opened. One by one people in the elevator exit and walk towards the main door or towards the cafeteria. My feet stepped into the cafeteria and smiled when I saw my friend waving at me. I walked up to my friend who was already sitting at one of the tables available in the cafeteria hall. "hi guys, sorry I'm late" "Wow, usually you are very fast when it comes to food" commented Gabriella, one of the employees of the finance department who was one of my friends with amused tones. "too much work" I muttered casually. "Order something, before the food runs out," Naura said, and pushing my back. "Okay" *** When I returned to my desk an hour later, I felt something strange and I felt like a magnet pulling me. I looked to right and left, seeing that everyone had returned to their respective tables and was busy with work that had delayed lunch. That strange feeling grew stronger as I walked down the floor corridor to my desk. I turned to another corridor that led to the meeting room. The feeling of traction led to the meeting room, but I tried to hold it. I wrinkled in confusion and brushed aside my strange feeling by starting to dwell on the laptop. My hands began typing word for word while moving nervously. My heart was beating fast and the strange feeling returned. The floor of the Public Relations department where I work with large conference rooms is the same. That's why this floor looks so busy because an important meeting that will or rather, is being held in the meeting room. My eyes are closed and dizziness over me. My hands raised and massaged my temples slowly trying to get rid of my dizziness that for some reason suddenly appeared. "Gween are you all right?" asked George, the man who became a senior in this department. He looked at me for a long time and put a document he was holding onto my desk. "If you're not feeling well, I'm won't asking for help." "Ah - Uhh it's okay, George, I'm fine. What is that, by the way?" I asked, trying to smile a little. George looked at me worriedly and shook his head quickly. "You're not fine. Your face is pale" "No, really, I'm fine. Maybe because I stared at the screen for too long," I muttered then closed the laptop. George was still staring skeptically at me and his hand took back the document that had been placed on my desk. "Are you sure? I can ask for others, if you're not sure. Your face looks very pale. Should you just go home?" he said doubtfully. I clicked my tongue and snatched the document he was holding. I tried to give him a soothing smile and asked what I should do for him, "OK if you insist, can you give the document to Miss Clarke in the conference room? I have to go to the IT department because Joshua needs me" "Alright, leave it to me," I muttered quickly. "Thank you Gween" I nodded and moved from the chair. The sound of my heels knocking to meet the marble floor led me to the meeting room which was located at the right end of this floor. My hand raised and stroked my chest. Trying to calm my heartbeat that is racing faster and faster. Somehow my body turned tense and the atmosphere turned tense. I wanted to turn around and run, to tell George that I wasn't okay and get as far away from this place as possible, but unfortunately I couldn't do it. So as much as possible I tried to be tough and brushed aside the strange feelings that attack me repeatedly. When I arrived at the two large mahogany doors that connected this floor to the meeting room, I took a breath and knocked on the door three times slowly. I pushed the door open and realized that everyone in the meeting room turned towards me. My body froze when my eyes met a pair of gray eyes that looked so sharp but so beautiful. I felt my whole soul being sucked into those eyes and the gray eyes gradually darkened and turned black. Am I not mistaken? I blinked and at once the magical atmosphere that I felt just disappeared. I turned my eyes towards Miss Clarke who stood up and murmured the words 'sorry' and 'excuse me', right my eyes were diverted from those gray eyes I heard a growl that sounded like the roar of a wild animal. I blinked and saw several people in the room who were looking down pretending to be busy with the file in front of them. I looked at the men in confusion. My view was immediately obstructed by Miss Clarke's body standing before me. "We're out," I nodded and turned to leave the meeting room. The image of a pair of gray eyes was imprinted on my brain. "You can give me a message, Gween, you know Mr. Andonov doesn't like it when the meeting is interrupted," grumbled Miss Clarke, snorting softly. "surprisingly that a handsome and perfect man has such a cold and annoying attitude" I smiled amused and gave the documents she needed, "I'm not the one who commented huh ... By the way, did you hear a growl like Animal's grunt?" Miss Clarke who was busy flipping through the pages of the document I gave her suddenly looked up and looked at me confused, "huh? I didn't hear anything but the sound of the air conditioner and the clock hands. I hate meetings like this" she complained softly. She patted me on the back as a thank you then turned and re-entered the meeting room. I shrugged my shoulders and decided to return to my desk, but a screech of surprise escaped my lips as the door behind me opened wide again to hit the wall and make a noise, BANG!! I turned and the gray eyes met my eyes again, "MINE!"
