One week later Get up, have breakfast, go to the park, then to the library, have lunch, go to the library again, then have dinner, and go to sleep. That is my activities for this week. I can't do anything, not even peeling fruit for myself. At first I was still allowed to help the kitchen staff prepare food, especially Aunt Judy, the head chef at this mansion who kindly gave me a lesson in cooking and gave me some secret tips, but I accidentally scratched my finger with a knife until I was deeply injured and when Nickolas knew about this, he immediately forbade me to set foot in the kitchen. All the servants and staff in this mansion were so afraid of Nickolas that they could do nothing but obey their superiors' orders. I tried to beg Nickolas, but what he gave precisely spicy words until finally I chose to budge. Every night, the pain in my stomach that I once felt when on a jet was sometimes present which made me unable to sleep and sweat. I'm thankful that the room I live in is soundproof, so when the pain is so intense and I can't help screaming, all the residents won't be disturbed by it. Edmund and Joshua always visited me every lunch hour to ask about my situation. I was even introduced to by the blond man I saw the other day. His name is Jaxon Knight and three more men named Alastair Gray, Gabriel Devin, and Delluca Angelo. I just found out that the three of them, including Edmund, Malcolm, and Joshua are the 'Elite' team that is directly commanded by Nickolas. I once asked Joshua if they were part of the mafia and Joshua just laughed while saying, "That is very funny Gween, and we are not part of the mafia. We are more dangerous than that" I asked again what was the meaning of his words, but Joshua only answered that I would know someday. Then here I am, sitting pensively in my room because there isn't a single activity that I can do. Even my cellphone is nowhere. For the umpteenth time I sighed and stared at the view of the forest from the window. A knock on the door entering my ear. I turned toward the door and found Lisa, one of the servants who was my only friend walking in. She bowed her body respectfully then asked about my condition, "You can see for yourself Lisa, living in loneliness that is so real. Very sad" I muttered gloomily. Lisa smiled and walked toward the walk-in closet. Where all the clothes that were deliberately prepared for me were available. All clothes in any form such as formal dresses, jeans, summer dresses, until you can find underwear in that room. Everything also has a size that fits my body so I was horrified at myself how they could know about my body size, while I didn't say anything. Lisa walked out carrying a white summer dress with short sleeves. The dress looks beautiful and I can imagine myself wearing it. I frowned and asked the woman, "What's the dress for, Lisa?" "Ah, this ... Alpha gave me orders to prepare you miss, you will have lunch with him with the elders" I choked and coughed softly. Elder? What era is this? This is the 21st century, are there still traditional things like that? "Huh Lisa, elder? Are you sure you're in the 21st century? I mean, there really is—" Lisa just smiled and chose a tight silence. She helped me prepare. In my heart I established myself that they were part of a heretical association or the Mafia. No doubt!! *** I walked into the dining room with lazy steps. Two bodyguards followed me from behind, but when the dining room door was a few meters in front of me, they stopped and stood on either side of the hallway wall. I shrugged my shoulders and continued my steps. My hand was stretched out wanting to turn the doorknob when the conversation sounded in my ears. "What do you mean My King, by saying that your soulmate is a human?" asked a deep voice that sounded strange. The tone of the voice sounded surprised mixed with dislike. "I told you Mr. Anderson, I won't repeat it twice," said another voice that I recognized belonged to Nickolas. A sense of hesitation overwhelmed me, whether I should go or stay and listen to this conversation. I was curious about the reason I came here, but --- "We need a queen who is strong and has the same background as us, My King, having a human queen will give a bad view. All supernatural clans will consider warewolf clans weak," another voice said. Huh? "Then what is your suggestion, Mr. Eldrik? Do I have to take an oath of refusal to Gween and release her?" growled Nickolas angrily. I blinked when my name came out of that man's mouth. "No, we still need it, Your Honor," the other voice said. For a moment there was only silence, then Nickolas returned to his voice, "what do you suggest, gentlemen?" Nickolas said in a calm and flat tone. My heart started beating fast when Nickolas's question was answered straight away, "We need a legitimate heir and a legitimate heir comes from a soulmate who is paired according to destiny, not choice. You must fertilize Miss Gween and give birth to a legitimate heir, after that you can refuse" My legs trembled to hear that. What have I heard all this? What do you mean by Werewolf Supernatural? Soulmate? Then what did that person say just now, I'm just here to be a baby machine? Are they crazy? "Okay, I'll consider your words" I stepped back regularly and so slowly. My chest felt so tight and tears began to gather in the corners of my eyes and ready to fall at any time. My hands raised to cover my mouth so that sobs do not come out. This is all not true! They are all crazy people who think they are a werewolf! I laugh blandly, werewolf? Seriously? The species is just a myth that is used as a fairy tale before sleeping. Not a real thing. I turned and swung my legs quickly. My destination is far from this place, and the only option is to run, but what if I don't have money and all my official documents are in one of the drawer cabinets in my apartment room. The familiar room door immediately greeted me. I ran into the room and immediately locked the door so that no one would enter. My eyes moved wildly looking for a way out. Panic, fear, frustration, all mixed together until my breath felt so tight. My neck felt so suffocating and my eyes began to get engulfed. "Gween? Are you in?" Joshua's voice accompanied by a knock on the door became a realization to me. I slowly inhale then throw it away. The process repeated for several minutes until I calmed down and looked scared. "Gween?" "Yes Josh, I'm in, what's up?" I turned and walked toward the door, turned the key and opened the door slowly. The worried expression I first saw from Joshua when the door opened and his eyes looked at me. Looking for something I don't know what that is. "You are okay?" he asked once more. With a forced big smile, I answered "of course! What do you think?" Joshua stared at me for a long time. Making sure that I was okay and when he felt sure, Joshua said quietly, "thank God" My smile faded and my expression turned to worry, "did something happen?" I asked, pretending I didn't know. Actually, I know why Joshua asked. He and Nickolas would have suspected that I would overhear their 'private' conversation with the elders. When the opportunity comes, I'll make sure to use it to run. I promised in my heart. Joshua bowed his head and massaged his forehead. He looked so stressed that I didn't have the heart and offered him to come in. "But you have to have lunch with ---" I chuckled annoyed and interrupted his words casually, "Take it easy, I'm nobody here. So it doesn't matter if I refuse the invitation?" Joshua looked at me disapprovingly, just now he wanted to express his disapproval when I pulled his arm into the room. I immediately locked the door and walked to the window. My hand grabbed the curtain and pulled it closed. The atmosphere was pitch black, but Joshua took the initiative by pressing the light switch. "Why do you look suspicious, Gween?" he asked inquiringly. His eyes watched me intensely. I sat on the edge of the bed and grabbed a book that I found in the library from the nightstand and put it on the nightstand. Actually I found this book in a forbidden area in the library, but because I was too curious about secretly I took it and took it to my room. "I want to ask you something" "What is that?" he asked curiously. I inhale slowly. "who are you really? And I want my answer right now!" my tone sounded so firm, but it was tucked in a hopeless tone that was easily detected. Joshua sighed and his body went limp, he walked to the sofa and flung himself there. His eyes were closed for a few moments and a few moments later he said, "you heard it" so slowly that I had a hard time catching it. "Just answer my question Josh! You promised to tell me because that's the 'task' that Nickolas gave you," I said, quoting the assignment in my sentence just now. "Now you can't avoid it and tell me" "Okay, but I don't want you to be frightened and decide to run. You are the only hope for this kingdom," he said verbally. I gave him a killing look and Joshua said, "allofusarewerewolf", so fast that I couldn't absorb them properly. "Don't use alien language Josh, I'm serious," I hissed softly. Joshua exhaled hard and said quietly, "we are all werewolf" I looked at him like he was an alien who had two heads, but I realized something and glanced at the ancient book that I was currently reading. The moon child. "Do you believe?" Josh asked quietly. I shrugged and answered, "Of course not, werewolf is just a myth and I might not believe it, but if you admit that you are a heretical sect, then I will believe it" "I told you Gween, we are neither a heretical nor a Mafia sect. After all what a heretic association has a magnificent palace" "In the middle of the forest? Oh of course I believe," I muttered sarcastically. Joshua moaned in frustration and pulled his hair hard. He looked back at me with determination. "What must I do for you to believe?" then his eyes glanced at the ancient book in the nightstand drawer. His eyes were perfectly rounded and murmured, "where did you get the book?" he asked in a choked voice. "Let's just say that place is a gathering place for all available information" I answered carelessly. Joshua pondered for a while and digested my words. He whispered "library" while nodding his head confidently. His eyes looked back at me and said, "You have read the book, so you should believe" "That does not mean I read ancient books, so I will just believe it. Try to think realistically, where there are species on this earth besides a fairy tale written by a writer," I said stubbornly. "Why do you still not believe it?" "If you can prove it to me, maybe I'll believe it" Joshua nodded his head and returned to pensive. He seemed to weigh something because his expression was so serious and his forehead furrowed deeply. "Alright. I'll prove it to you" he rose from the couch and opened his clothes one by one. I, who realized what Joshua meant, screamed and reflexively closed my eyes with my palm. "Why did you open your shirt?" I'm sure now my face has turned red with embarrassment. Chuckle sounds could be heard throughout the room and my forehead wrinkled even though my eyes were still tightly closed. "If you close your eyes, then what I will do will not be trusted by you Gween. Take it easy I'm still wearing pants" he murmured with humor. I slowly opened my eyes and slowly glanced in fear at Joshua. My face turned even redder when I saw the man I considered close to bare chest and carefully glanced down. I slowly opened my eyes and slowly glanced in fear at Joshua. My face turned even redder when I saw the man I considered close to bare chest and carefully glanced down. I held my breath and when I saw gray pants and not something forbidden to be my sight, I immediately let out a hard sigh. "You almost made me die of heart attack" I commented softly while stroking my chest. Joshua shrugged his shoulders and his expression turned serious in the blink of an eye. "Gween, I want you to not be afraid and run away understanding?" "OK, now you are scaring me," I muttered in horror. Joshua sighed and closed his eyes. The room was quiet, but it did not last long when a terrible noise filled my eardrum. Krak ... I bit my lip as a moan slowly came out of Joshua's mouth. As much as possible I opened my eyes, but fear and horror continued to dominate me until my eyes slowly closed, but I opened my eyes again when I remembered Joshua's words a few minutes ago. Krak ... I grimaced and looked at Joshua worried. "Are you sure Josh?" but before Joshua could answer, Joshua's sturdy and well-built figure turned into a four-legged creature with golden brown fur. The creature's posture is so large than normal size. Even when he just sat, his posture was still level with my height. I gaped wide and stepped back, "this is impossible" The creature let out a low barking sound and put its head on the floor and between its front legs. His eyes looked at me as wide as a dog asking to be petted. With one deep breath I reached out a trembling hand to the creature's head. "Is this really you, Josh?" The creature barked again. "I really don't believe this, but you are so beautiful" I murmured softly. My palm touched his head and stroked the area slowly. Its golden brown fur is so soft and thick to the touch. A smile slowly appeared on my face and I laughed softly, "fortunately I didn't faint from shocking" The creature barked again and I took that as Josh's response --- not what Josh meant as a wolf as an answer yes. "May I take care of you?" Surprisingly the creature's eyes turned and made strange noises. My forehead wrinkled and chuckled, "you can be a substitute for my Lily here. Can others do the same?" Bark! Uhh's response --- that wolf. His tongue stuck out and his head raised. His ears moved and a serious expression adorned his hairy face. "Did you hear anything?" the wolf nodded his head. He got up and I murmured in admiration because his body was so big. The wolf turned and walked toward the bathroom. Don't forget to bite the clothes that had been removed by Joshua. Right when the bathroom door is closed, the door is open and Lisa appears carrying a tray. On the tray there is a lunch menu that I have memorized in my brain. "You have to finish it Miss, this is an order from Alpha" I rolled my eyes irritated. "You can put the tray on the table. Thank you for bringing me food, Lisa" I muttered, smiling grateful. Lisa nodded her head and returned me with a sweet smile and then turned to leave the room. A few minutes later the bathroom door opened and Joshua walked out like a model. I clicked in annoyance and brushed aside the grin of a jail that adorned his handsome face, "apparently you're not what we expected" he concluded satisfied. "What do you mean?" I hissed softly. Joshua shrugged his shoulders and said, "I thought you would faint or run scared while yelling 'I'm crazy' like that" "Do you think I am very weak? You think I am a weak woman, is that so? I am indeed a 'human' but I am not as weak as you think" I said, quoting the word 'human' with my fingers. "Not really, but your point is right. I think you will be the same as other humans. They chose to be blind and close their ears when they knew the existence of the supernatural world. They thought this world was a myth and lived in ignorance," Joshua said quietly. "Only this won't make me run away Joshua, except that it makes me feel betrayed and disappointed. I can't afford to sacrifice my heart and things that don't make sense like this are not one of them" "But you have a reason to run, don't you?" Joshua asked sounding sad. He looked at me flatly, but it had a deep meaning. He knew that what I meant was Nickolas's conversation. He knew I knew that conversation. He knows I want to run away.
