Before The Wedding Part 1

Days keep passing and passing. Time continues to spin endlessly, regardless of how or what is happening. The sun and moon take turns occupying their positions in the sky.

I never thought that I could survive this far. Sitting in solitude in the room, staring tirelessly. Really, I really want to go back to New York, forget all these nightmares and consider them as not real.

For two weeks I was alone in Edmund's mansion. Of course there was Lily who accompanied me and sometimes Maggie too, but my best friend always accompanied Edmund wherever he went. A few days ago Edmund had announced that Maggie was his soulmate and everyone welcomed Maggie with open arms. Likewise with me, I'm glad Maggie finally was able to get a place that was destined for her, but unfortunately there are also some who don't like Maggie.

Naturally, in this life there are always pro and contra. We can't hope that everyone will always be pro to us, there must be people who either do not like or are jealous of our lives.

I have known that a long time ago. When you start working in parliament, there must be someone who talks about me behind your back. They always whisper every time I am there, but every time I see them, they will smile and ask about my days as if they care.

This time, every night when I sleep, he will come into my dreams. He always treats me gently like I'm a fragile porcelain. Nickolas came with her gray eyes staring at me and the sweet kisses she gave to my lips.

Honestly, because of the treatment, slowly my heart began to heal. Whether it's in my heart or soul, I also have the strength to hold on. Great right? The person who hurt you the most is someone who is able to heal the wound.

I repeatedly forced Nickolas to say what was the reason for doing this. I begged and cried in front of him, even I could kneel before him. Either because I was his soulmate or because I started to have feelings for him I dared to do something stupid like that, but Nickolas still refused and said that I would know when the time was right.

After that I gave up, even in my dreams, I ignored Nickolas. He doesn't care about my attitude. He will continue to give me kisses and treat me gently. He always said that this was the only way to convince himself that I was his soulmate and I was attached to him.

He always said that he missed me, he always said that he wanted me to be by his side. He always whispered sweet words that were able to make my heart rattle warmly and my heart beat fast.

Until one night I asked him if he had s*x with her, as I had seen the other day and he said no.

Nickolas reasoned that only I was able to satisfy him and what was my reaction at that time? I immediately blushed and hid my cheeks in his field.

Every time Nickolas will go or come into my dreams, he will turn into Eros --- Wolfy. He will lick his tongue in my face like a dog and once commented, "I'll be your pet for the rest of my life if it necessary Gween" of course I immediately protested because the place was occupied by Lily.

Sleep time is the time I always wait. In the dream we were able to meet and talk with each other, joke, even debate. Our relationship felt so close when in my dream, but every time I passed him in the real world, Nickolas acted like I wasn't there or sometimes he would yell at me because I did things that upset him.

I hate this drama.

If this is a film, then I will immediately stop this film and damage the tape. Promise you will never watch a movie that has a bad story like this.

The sound of knocking at the door makes my mind scatter. I turned my gaze from the window towards the door and said, "come in"

The door slowly opened and Joshua entered with a broad smile clearly displayed on his handsome face. "Why do you look so happy today?" I asked when I saw his good mood.

He even went up to Lily who was sleeping on my bed and kissed Lily's head repeatedly.

Josh walked up to me and answered, "because the day we are waiting for will arrive soon" my mood immediately changed for the worse. What does he mean by Nickolas's marriage? So?

"Oh," I muttered carelessly. I immediately looked away at the window and made my eyes when I saw two luxury cars enter the mansion's court. The first car is rolls royce and the second is Audi. My eyes widened in disbelief when Nickolas got out of the first car and Edmund and Maggie got out of the second car.

Hah?

I turned back to Josh and saw him staring at me with a smile so wide that I cringed at the thought of his mouth being torn from his smile. "Why did Nickolas come here?"

"Do you think?" I just shrugged and didn't answer Josh's short question. Then my eyes flickered to his appearance that looked formal.

"Why do you dress formally like that? Do you want a meeting?"

"You could say that" he answered mysteriously. I just snorted and got up. Lily was now sitting comfortably on the bed, her eyes wide open because of her disturbed sleep by Josh. She meowed at me and her eyes looked at me innocently.

I immediately sat on the side of the bed and reached for Lily. It is time for her to go to the vet to undergo a medical. "Josh, is there a veterinarian nearby? It's time for me to bring Lily to check"

"Oh --- umm ..." Josh seemed to think for a moment then answered, "Yes, about two hours from the main castle. It's near the mall in the North Hills."

"I see ... Can you take me there? What do you think, Lily?" Lily snored happily and meowed.

"Okay, okay----"

Tok Tok Tok

The sound of the door knocking again. Josh immediately walked to the door and opened it. He paused for a moment before bowing his body respectfully, "Your Majesty. General" he said formally. I bit my lower lip when I saw the figure who was always present in my dream walking in followed by Edmund.

Lily suddenly hissed and growled at Edmund, while Edmund commented, "Looks like I'm the only one she hates in here"

ot long after, Maggie walked in and heard the comments issued by Edmund. He snorted and chimed in, "Of course, because only you here hate her"

Lily meowed long and her body turned tense. "Looks like she wants to attack you Ed," Josh muttered, watching Lily's behavior.

I snorted and said, "She already did it twice"

Josh suddenly laughed out loud, and so did Maggie when she remembered what I meant. "Oh my God --- that was a very extraordinary day. The big bad wolf was defeated by a cute little cat," Maggie commented between her laughter.

I chuckled softly and said, "Looks like you have to compromise with Lily, Ed. You don't want to be attacked by Lily forever, don't you?" Edmund just rolled his eyes in response to my comment.

While Nickolas, who had been quietly watching, was now busy patting his subordinate's back briefly, then he started walking toward me. His eyes looked shady and full of mixed emotions.

My eyes are unable to move away from it. Every time my eyes meet him, there will definitely be magic that makes me unable to move. My whole soul is always sucked into those beautiful gray eyes, but our moment just breaks when Edmund growls and Lily hissed.

I immediately cut eye contact and looked down at my cat that looked ready to attack. "Lily ... Stop It" I murmured while stroking her back. Instantly she turned relaxed and snored. She laid her body on my lap, but her eyes didn't move at all from Edmund.

"Looks like you have to practice to accept Ed's presence," Josh muttered. His eyes looked at Edmund with amused eyes, while his hands were busy covering the broad smile he was trying to hide.

Edmund just grunted and chose to look away annoyed. Coughing's voice immediately stopped Edmund and Josh's childish actions. "Sorry Alpha," they said in one voice.

I cleared my throat and asked, "why are you here?" I asked them all, but my eyes were on Nickolas. He gave a small smile and answered in my mind,

Because I want to see you and make sure you are healthy. I snorted softly, but said nothing. Nickolas turned to Edmund and asked, "Are the others up?"

"Not yet Alpha, Beta Jaxon said guests would arrive in an hour because the border guards said that their car had crossed the border"

"Good, there's still time to discuss the next step," Nickolas murmured softly. He paused for a moment before looking back at me. Nickolas looked down and kissed my long forehead. "take care baby" after that he looked back at Edmund, "I want you to tighten guard starting tomorrow at your residence, General. I don't want anyone to act recklessly and attack Gween"

What? Attack me?

"Did you ask Brian to help put magic shields in all corners of this place?"

"Alpha"

Nickolas nodded in satisfaction at Edmund's answer, "we can discuss the others in your workspace General" after that Nickolas, followed by Edmund and Josh went out of the room. Leave me with Maggie alone.

I looked at Maggie, "what are they talking about Magg?"

"You'll find out later," Maggie said.

"Do you know everything Magg?" I asked with a probing look. If it's true Maggie knows then ---

Maggie bowed her head and murmured, "I'm sorry, I have to hide it from you Gween. Edmund forbid me to tell you their plans for you" I sighed and pressed my head into a throbbing pain.

"Since?"

"Since three days ago. I forced Edmund to say it and he wanted it as long as I promised not to say anything to you"

"Alright," I muttered tired. "But why can't I know?" I asked Maggie in a frustrated tone.

Maggie just smiled a little and gave me the code to get up from the bed. "Now you have to get ready. I'll help you"

"but I don't want to be there"

"Gween, your role is needed tonight" Maggie said no less frustrated. I looked at her in surprise, but chose to yield and nod my head.

Role? What role?

I'm sure tonight will be a long night.

My heart was beating so fast it felt like it was about to burst. My hands squeezed because of nervousness that engulfed me.

This is the first time I have attended a dinner after the last dinner where Nickolas announced his engagement with that woman.

Reluctance and laziness that I'm currently feeling. I hate formal events especially when this event is to celebrate a man who claims my soulmate will marry another woman. You can guess my current mood.

Bad --- very, very bad.

This time I wore a dress that was slightly open, whereas before I always wore a closed dress, but somehow I wanted to see Nickolas angry and jealous. Like I felt for him all this time. Think of this as my naughty side, after all, I also don't care about other people's judgment about me.

The dress I'm wearing tonight is maroon. With spaghetti straps and slightly open chest parts. The back of this dress is also made open so that the skin on my back is exposed.

This dress has a length of only up to the knee feet and a little tight so that it displays the curve of my body perfectly.

My hair is loose and styled beautifully. The makeup applied on my face is also minimal and natural, I also wear nude lipstick so that everyone is not directed at my face, but my body.

My neck was adorned by a pendant necklace that Mom had given me - which I always wore - and my hand was adorned with Maggie's Dior watch, she was kind enough to lend one of her watches to me. Then my feet were adorned by Louis Vuitton's gold-colored heels to complete my appearance.

After I looked enough, I walked out of the bathroom. The pull of my breath was the first thing I did when facing Nickolas standing in my room with a sturdy posture and aura of intimidation that was so thick. He was seen standing alone in the room. I tried to look for the figure of Maggie by looking left and right, but couldn't find her anywhere.

Grunts immediately welcomed my sense of hearing. My eyes immediately focused on Nickolas and saw him watching me with an expression of dislike.

His eyes assessed my appearance from top to bottom, then returned to the top and his eyes immediately focused towards my slightly visible cleavage. His eyes turned black and angry and his face darkened. "Change your clothes, Gween, or you won't be allowed to step out of this room."

"There's no time anymore and you don't have the right to arrange me Nickolas. Isn't this event to celebrate your marriage with Britanny tomorrow? So don't act like you care about me," I said dryly.

"I didn't come here to argue with you Gween. Change your clothes right now!" Nickolas growled angrily.

I walked to the bed and grabbed the clutch that I had prepared to complete my appearance. "I told you there is no time for Nickolas"

"Don't argue with me Gween, or I'll force you to"

Haughtily, I brushed my brown hair behind my back while asking, "So what are you going to do huh? Locking me in the walk-in closet until I change my clothes?"

Nickolas walked slowly and calculated. If I look at him like this, I am reminded again that he is a predator and can pounce at me at any time. Nickolas grinned mysteriously and answered, "I'll do more than that"

Nickolas stopped right in front of me and his hand reached out to rub my exposed back. Then the hand moved forward and touched the hem of my dress at the chest. I could feel his hands touching my skin for a few moments before returning to my dress. My body trembled when I felt this room was so hot and Nickolas's touch that caused a strange trembling in my stomach.

He slowly bent down and aligned his lips in my ears. Nickolas whispered softly, "I will throw you on the bed and tear this dress from your body, then I will tie your hands to the head of the bed so that you do not run away and punish you until the sun rises"

I gasped and gripped Nickolas's coat so tightly. Nickolas kissed my ear briefly before giving a feather-light kiss on the area of my neck. "And do you know what's even more exciting Gween? ---" I shook my head and closed my eyes, "--- when I finish punishing you, I will enter your body repeatedly until you shout my name out loud"

My body immediately swayed because my legs were too weak and unable to support my body. Instantly Nickolas put his arm around my waist so that I would not fall to the floor. He raised my head and his face moved closer. "If you don't want me to do that, don't make me angry and obey what I say. Understand? Change your clothes"

I gulped and nodded slowly, but that does not mean I will obey his wishes. Who does he think he is?

Nickolas let go of my body and watched me turn towards the walk-in closet. Before I disappeared behind the door, I heard Nickolas comment, "Don't expect me to let you go, Gween. I won't just let you go until your last name changes"

I sighed and leaned against the closed door. My heart was beating fast and my breathing was racing. Didn't expect Nickolas to turn aggressive like this. Then what did he say? Has my last name changed? But he will marry that woman ---

My body immediately sank to the floor and buried my face in both palms.

Ten minutes later, my feelings returned to normal, not as messy as before. I walked out of the walk-in closet, breathing in relief when I saw Maggie standing in the middle of the room, not Nickolas. Surely he will do what he said when he saw me not change clothes according to his orders.

One thing I know from Nickolas. He is a man who always keeps his promises and words. Including what he said to me. I don't know what his reaction will be when he sees me not doing what he tells me to do.

"Gween!" Maggie squealed when she saw my appearance. "Girl you're so hot tonight! OMG I can't imagine Nickolas reaction after seeing you ---"

"I already know what the reaction will be," I interrupted interruptedly. Maggie frowned and looked at me confused. I took a breath and said, "he will be furious"

Maggie grieved and approached me, then she put her arms around my shoulders and said quietly, "We can go to the club after the dinner is over, how about that?"

"Maggie, how ----"

"Let's just say I've explored the North Hills. I know the best club here. So what? Our performance is perfect for going to the club"

I thought for a moment. It would not hurt me to go to a club and drink a bottle of beer. I haven't been to a club for a long time and Maggie's invitation is like a glimmer of hope to me. "Deal" I muttered in agreement.

"Good. Let's go now before everyone gets suspicious." I nodded my head and bent down, reaching for the clutch that had fallen when Nickolas whispered obscene, seductive words to me. "By the way, how do you know Nickolas's reaction? He will marry another woman, so ---"

"Let's just say he saw me"
