Leah's Point Of View
As I stood in the hallway at the bottom of the stairs, "I hope she slept OK" I said out loud to myself . I didn't manage to fall asleep until three in the morning. She wouldn't stop crying. So I know it must have been bad. Since she went out with her boyfriend, Roman, it probably has to do with him.
It would be devastating, because from the first day I met Cass in sixth grade she always spoke about finding the right guy. One that would be there when she needed someone to talk to , loved her for being herself, and an understanding she needed time. To take it slow. But all she's got are guys that wanna hook up, wanna play with her emotions after she falls for them, or cheaters. The worst are the ones that are just trying to get with her or back with her because they think they have a chance. To try to prove they can to their boys.
"Where does Roman fit in the categories?" I asked no one in particular. " Humm?" I folded my arms over and tapped my thin pink lips. Proving to their friends sounds about right. I thought. Since he made a bet with his best friend Jason DeLuna. The first time, she rejected him in April of last year. When we went to look for the house we would be living in for the next four years. According to Jason's i********:, Roman had broken down the walls she used to protect her heart and made her fall hard for him. To just let her go in pain of another betrayal.
Cass had her guard up since before we left home. Her ex, Damian , had broken up with her a few months before we started school. She was trying to get over it, but for her it always takes time. Throughout the years we have been friends. She has rejected guys left and right, including every one of her exes .When Roman decided that he had to date her to prove a point. He tried for months to convince her with flowers, gifts, time, and attention. To which she unfortunately fell for and she fell hard. So, when I heard her crying, all I thought about was he broke up with her a few days before their eight-month anniversary.
Which I don't get why they play with her. She is a beautiful person, inside and out. Beside her, I am an average blond, with blue eyes, small breasts, an athletic build, and 5'9. Most men are intimidated by my height, but there have been a few that have accepted me for who I am. Just like Cass, they were cheaters, users, and show offs.
I hear a door close and pull myself out of my thoughts. When I looked up at the top of the stairs, Cass was standing there looking down at me. I gave her a faint smile to try to cover up that I knew what was happening. I'll wait for her whenever she is ready to tell me. "How did you sleep?" I asked, knowing very well she only slept two hours if that. "I slept" Cass responded as she shrugged her shoulders as she went down several steps. " Hurry up, we are going to be late to Anatomy !" I sort of yelled. A giggle escaped her lips that formed into a mischievous grin. "We might as well not go if we are already late then", she says as she laughs. I cxxx my head to the sides as I put my hands on my hips. "Now you know very well, the professor will rip us a new one if we don't go. We are close to finals, so come on before I fail and I have to repeat his class", I said. She rolled her eyes at me and went the rest of the way down the stairs.
We walked out the front door to such a beautiful sight. Sexy, buff, men unloading moving trucks into the house across the street. Blocking our way out. My mind went blank and completely forgot we were gonna be late."Who do you think is moving in across the street?"I asked. "I don't know", She shrugged. "In the year we have been here no one ever even looked at the house" She said. " I thought it was haunted or somebody died there and that why no one went to look. " I laughed out. "I don't think we should worry about whose moving in but of who can move this truck so we can make it to class." Cass said as she look around .
I wiggled my eyebrows with a grin on my face and, in a flirtatious tone, "Maybe one of us should see if those hotties can help us with that" I said. She rolls her eyes at me in annoyance. I know it's still fresh what happened, but if she doesn't get him out of her head, she won't get over Roman.
