I was lounging on the chaise longue sa garden, enjoying my iced coffee habang nagsi-scroll sa phone. Everything was so peaceful, the soft afternoon breeze and the golden sunlight made everything look like a scene from a movie. I was about to check my messages nang bigla kong narinig ang isang boses na hindi ko inaasahan marinig.
“Tanya! Long time no see!”
Napabalikwas ako sa gulat. When I turned around, I saw someone I hadn’t seen in years—Dave. He was casually walking towards me, wearing his trademark grin, looking as dashing as ever. My jaw almost dropped. What the heck is he doing here?
“Dave? Anong ginagawa mo dito?” I asked, still in shock. It felt like I was seeing a ghost.
He shrugged, the way he always did whenever he’d get himself into trouble. “Just visiting.
