Chapter one
Myra’s pov:
“Please Stop! Please, I beg you, stop!”
A stream of tears rolled down my cheek as I lay on the operating table.
My stomach was throbbing in pain, my waist was on fire, and even the breath I took was accompanied by a sharp pain.
It was too immense.
My hands clasped on my stomach, praying that the moon goddess would come to my aid. My legs were trembling at what was about to happen to me.
Two years ago, I wouldn't have believed that the man I would be praying against was my mate, the one I loved so much and had given my all to. Even though I was an omega, Alpha Ethan never felt bad when he realized I was his mate, rather he accepted me.
Now, Ethan stood in front of the operating table, not even a flicker of warmth in his eyes, as if I meant nothing to him.
“Ethan please… I beg of you!”
My eyes were red, and my body was trembling from fear as the doctor stood by his right, ready to take in his order.
Princess Tiara stood by the other side, a devious smirk curled up her lips.
Ethan took a few steps closer to me and carefully caressed me with his left arm.
For a very brief moment, there was a flicker of warmth in his eyes, but it disappeared just as quickly as I had seen it.
And all that was left in his gaze that locked onto mine was coldness.
"Myra, you know how much I love you.”
I swallowed as I nodded.
“You are my mate. I can not even deny the pull between us."
He paused, his eyes hardening into glaciers.
"But damnit, I am the Alpha!"
His bellow caused me to flinch.
"And you Myra, you are an Omega,” he hissed.
There was a sour expression on his face as he said the words, like they were so bitter for him to admit.
“It has never been a problem before, Ethan, you promised we would always be together…”
“Yes, but the child in your womb wasn't part of it. You are a low life and don't get to bear my first heir!”
His voice was sharp, carrying the usual coldness as he stared into my eyes.
Irritation glazed the orbs.
“I love you more than you can imagine, but you are an Omega and there is no way in the world that I am going to let my first child, my heir come out through an Omega, which is why the baby in your womb has to go.”
The words pierced directly into my heart. I had braced herself for many things.
His disappointment, his silence, even his anger. But not this, Never this.
“No…. Please, I beg of you, I promise the baby will never be a problem; I will go far away. You can have other kids with other maidens from more respectable families, please don't do this to me.”
The more I wiped the tears, the more the stream of tears kept rolling down, his jaws tight as he massaged his temples.
He wasn't the same Alpha that had lived with me and never bothered if I was just an omega maid in his pack house.
“You are mine Myra, you are not going anywhere, this baby will be eradicated and you will remain my mistress while Tiara will become my Luna….”
His lips rose into a smirk that immediately curdled my blood with ease.
“See, every problem has a solution.”
He let out a soft sigh and motioned to the doctor who stepped closer, holding a syringe of anesthesia.
But just as he was about to inject it into me, Tiara stepped forward.
“No doctor! Don't you think giving her anesthesia would harm her and the baby? You don't want to kill her, do you?”
There was a smirk on her lips as she spoke and I gaped in confusion.
That made no sense to me, because without anesthesia, I would die. I glanced at Ethan, expecting him to speak up.
I was an omega. Omegas are known to be weak wolves. My baby was preterm, and yet they were going to operate on me.
Without anesthesia.
It was obvious that Tiara only wanted to make sure that I felt all the pain.
“Ethan, you can't let her do that to me.” I cried out, hoping that just this once, I meant something to him.
“I am sorry Myra but Tiara is right. You shouldn't have let yourself get pregnant in the first place, you should know you should have aborted it when I asked nicely! Or did you think that it would force me to make you my Luna because you are carrying my first heir?”
I didn't have the time to respond, seeing the doctor standing in front of me with elbow length gloves around his hands.
No doubt he was ready to proceed with the surgery without administering anesthesia.
“Alpha. I don't think you need to remain here. You should step outside and I will make sure the procedure goes very smoothly,” Tiara assured him, her hands caressing his cheek as she stared at me from the corner of her eyes before leaning in to plant a kiss there.
And as if her kiss had some strong effects on him, he nodded his head, and with one last glance at me, he stepped out of the ward.
“Wait! Ethan please!” I called out at the top of my voice, struggling so hard, trying so hard like there was a way I could save my baby.
But I felt the sting on my upper hand, and I turned around to stare at the doctor. Slowly, I could feel my body starting to betray me.
From the first day Tiara stepped into the pack house, she had been so cruel to me, but I endured all the pains because I was the Alpha mate and someday I hoped I would become his Luna.
But all of that dream was shattered when he found out I was pregnant.
He became furious, saying I was not fit to be the first to bear his royal child.
The doctor grabbed a sliver blade and my heart began pounding rapidly.
“Doctor… what are you— Don't...” I asked as my hands were placed into the leather straps on either side of the bed.
“The relaxant should last at least an hour, we need to be fast and get this thing out of her stomach before it wears off!” The doctor explained to the nurse standing next to him.
I could hear the sound of my heart pounding, I tried to get up, to scream or even move my arms. But everything about me had gone numb and just like that, I was like a sack of potatoes!
That was the moment I knew I wouldn't survive it; no werewolf would survive going through a silver blade, but I kept wondering even at my last moment, if Ethan was aware of the blaze used on me.
With every single slice through every layer of my stomach, I felt the pain bit by bit. I clenched my fist hard, gritting my teeth with tears rolling down my cheek as I tried too hard to take in all of the pain.
My wolf let out a loud growl, she was in a cage, struggling so hard to free herself, with every attempt she made to free herself, my eyes flickered red, as my wolf howled more and more begging to be freed.
Sweat dripped from my forehead, the pain was nothing as I had ever felt, it crushed every soul inside of me, my fated mate had taken away my life for no reason.
Blood suddenly sprouted out, splashing around as the machine began to make an alarming sound.
Slowly, I was starting to feel the life drained out of me, my wolf was getting more and more weak and I was losing touch with her. Slowly fading in the darkness.
“Be fast, she is having internal bleeding!” The doctor yelled out to one of his nurses, but at this point, I was no longer feeling the pain, my body was numb as I stared at the ceiling wondering what I had done and why I had to end up like this.
Soon the baby was out of my stomach, a male child that was preteen.
“What should we do?” The doctor has turned to Tiara, waiting for her instructions.
“Do I need to spell it all for you? Get rid of that bastard child!” She gritted her teeth as she let out the words, her eyes dark with no single warmth in them.
The doctor lowered his head and without hesitation, he picked up a knife and sliced through the baby.
My child!
“Nooo...” I tried to scream but the words didn't come out.
The nurses stood still, like they had expected it to happen, no one made an effort to save me. I have no clue why I lived such a miserable life and ended up like this.
“Please….. please moon goddess….. grant me a second chance to avenge my child …. please.” The last tears trickle down my cheek. Then I shut my eyes forever.
