I heard Elijah’s heart rate quicken instantly as adrenaline flooded his system. He was glancing around anxiously. He was trying to listen for any sign of the approaching threat but he wouldn’t be able to hear anything yet. They were still too far away for that.
“What do they want?” He asked.
I tried to tap into my power, I reached out for them but there is something wrong. I am not sure if it is a problem with me or with them. It could just be that I am stressed or not fully in control of my powers yet but I can’t feel anything from them. I can tell where they are and that they are in human form but that is all.
“I can’t tell, they are approaching in human form and they have the building surrounded.” I said.
“Do we have time to run?” Elijah asked, I could practically taste his anxiety
