The second key was a lot easier to find than the first key. There weren’t really that many places to hide it in the small empty basement. Even by the light of my phone it was easy to see the spot where the bricks in the wall looked different from the rest of the room. The next part would be the hard part though. Whatever my parents had hidden for me was in one of the buildings in town but I had no idea which. If I had thought this far ahead I would have told Elijah to call at my old house so I could pick up the map but this whole thing was the embodiment of poor planning. I hadn’t thought any of this through before we set off so I had to rely on my not so perfect memory.
