Protector

“You fucker!" The red faced man barged in and rushed towards Ryder, ready to plant his fist into his face.
“Enzo!" Zelda yelled and rushed to stand right in front of Ryder, her hands spread wide, protecting him from being hit.
Enzo's fist lowered slowly as he hissed at Zelda.
“GET OUT!"
“No! Let's talk outside." She tried to grab his arm but he swung her hand away, his chest heaving.
“Let me take care of this Zelda." Ryder said from behind her, trying to gently scoot her out of the way but her head snapped back and she gave him a glare with a warning hiss before turning back to look at her fiancé.
“You have no shame.” Enzo started, his eyes blazing as he tucked his hands into his pocket.
"I don't…"
“Quit trying to play dumb with me, you pig!" He yelled and before Zelda could resist, Ryder's fist flew into Enzo's face.
“How dare you!" Ryder barked from behind before stepping forward.
“Ryder! No!" She cried, moving to push him away but he gently swatted her hand, his eyes focused on the man still struggling to stand to his feet.
“Let me deal with this." She started pleading but Ryder had taken a step forward already and grabbed Enzo by the collar.
“What right do you think you have to address her that way, huh?" He barked, his spittle flying all over Enzo's enraged face.
“Hit me!" Enzo provoked, his teeth flashing for a second.
“Go on, hit me!" He hissed, eyes wide and angry as he bared his teeth to Ryder.
“Let him go!" Zelda cried from the back, her hands cupping both sides of her head as she started to gasp for air.
“You think I have no idea about the forbidden nonsense going on between the two of you?" Enzo asked with raised brows, a mad smile on his lips as blood began to seep out of the crack on his lips.
As if scalded by hot iron, Ryder's hand loosen as he turned softly to face Zelda whose face had turned dangerously pale, her lips slack from shock.
Enzo began to bark out a sardonic laughter.
“Fucker!" He hissed, pushed the stunned Ryder aside and reached out for the now sickly looking Zelda.
On grabbing her arm, he barked in her face. “How could you leave our engagement party like the little slut you are? Huh? How could you?"
He shook her pretty badly as he yelled his questions into her face, his gaze scorching.
Zelda was beginning to turn purple.
“s**t!" Ryder snapped and yanked Enzo's hand off her with a sharp twist.
“Stay they f**k away from her!" He barked.
“And who do you think you are to give out such orders?" Enzo's eyes were wide as he hissed out his question, stepping towards Ryder who stood ready to throw a fatal punch.
“Her protector." Ryder bit back and Enzo paused for a moment before giving out a howl of laughter.
Not letting him say anymore, Ryder drove his fist into Enzo's face, causing him to stagger back, almost hitting the still shocked Zelda.
Letting out a loud bark, Enzo ran towards Ryder, his feet flying out in a kick that brought Ryder to his knee before he proceeded to pounce on him, the both of them rolling to the floor, knocking things out the way as they punched each other.
Zelda's shaky frame scooted out of their way as they struggled.
Each punch landed harder than the last and Zelda finally slumped to her knees, her hands covering her face as she screamed out her lungs for them to stop.
Letting out a howl, Ryder jumper his to feet followed by Enzo.
Before Enzo could throw a punch, Ryder pushed him towards the vanity and the content on the table scrambled down, followed by the loud crash of the huge mirror on Enzo's back.
“STOP!" Zelda cried out again from where she knelt, her voice strangled with sobs but they didn't stop.
“The next time you lay your filthy hands on her, I'll make sure to break every finger till you beg for your death!" Ryder spat, pausing to wipe the trickle of blood from his nose when Enzo suddenly sprang up, toppling him over.
In a blink of an eye, Enzo has a jagged piece of mirror in his hand ready to plunge it into Ryder's body and Zelda let out a screech as she struggled to get to her feet.
“STOP THIS MADNESS!" Leia, Zelda's mother screeched from the door, her breath coming out in puffs and huffs as she leaned against the wall with a group of muscular men at the door.
They all had their arms folded, their biceps bulging as their black t-shirt read ‘security’ on it.
Zelda slumped to the floor, her chest heaving as he watched her mother nod her head at the men.
They rushed in, their boots crunching the sharp pieces of mirror as they flanked Enzo's side, protecting him while the rest moved to cuff Ryder's hands behind his back.
“What are you doing?" He thundered, but held his peace when Zelda's soft sniffles reached his ears.
Walking into the messy bedroom, Leia came to stand right in front of Ryder, her gaze smoldering before flinging the back of her hand across his face.
“How dare you try to destroy what we have struggled to build over the years?” She glared at him.
Ryder gritted his teeth, barely holding himself back from giving a savage response.
“What? Do you want to talk back to me?" She hissed going even closer to dare him.
“Mum?" Zelda called.
“Shut up!" Leia snapped.
“Don't tell her to shut up!" Ryder snapped.
She glared at him before her hand struck him across the face again, flinging his head to the side as he gritted his teeth.
"MUM!” Zelda screamed while Enzo crackled in the background.
"Take him out of here.” She ordered and the men started shoving him out.
"You can't tell me you want Zelda married to that monster over there!” He yelled as he struggled with the men about to throw him out of Zelda's bedroom.
Leia paid him no mind and went ahead to stand before her crying daughter.
“You will publicly announce your wedding date with Enzo tomorrow." She said instead and Zelda's eyes widened as her head snapped up to meet her mother's face.
