Jack turned his head, ‘It was only an educated guess,’ but before Mandy could reply, the traffic began to move more freely. Things had changed on the outskirts of Exeter since she did her degree in the West Country City, but the inner city was pretty much the same, except for the one-way roads. It mattered not as they got to the hotel in reasonable time, and bearing in mind they couldn’t keep their hands off each other in the car, there was not much need for foreplay. They lay together, breathing hard, Mandy in the crook of Jack’s shoulder, his hand stroking her hair, ‘Reckon we’ll take this room, don’t you?’ he said.
‘I think we must’ Mandy replied. ‘A turn around the room, it can be so refreshing?’ and they chuckled at the Pride and Prejudice reference, eased themselves up,
