THIRTY-THREE Saturday morning, and just in time for the ten o’clock meeting, Jo joined the team, her mood and radiance in harmony with the fine weather. She was a warm and caring woman, kiddie and Tanner stressed occasionally, but the gentle qualities were again evident in her Mumsey face. She was not like Jack or Mandy; the team knew this and so refrained from overt comments, just a quack from Frankie. Jo grinned, couldn’t help it, but was all business, ‘Have we an update on Paolo?’ Jed Bailey, Saturday slouched on his chair, answered, ‘The sword slashed deep at the top of his chest; the start of a downward stroke, we think.
