‘Same system as last night?’ Jo was tidying away.
‘Is Jamie with me? I take it you’re off for s*x with Tanner?’ Alice asked.
‘He is, and I am. Mum still has the kids, and Tanner and I have some serious catching up to do.’ Frankie spun on her chair and smiled at Jo, scooted over to Connie and slipped her hand onto her leg. ‘I’m sorry you have to work, I will make it up to you when this is all over.’
‘Don’t worry on my account, Jo,’ Alice said, ‘Jamie and I had a good chat last night. Dorothy may never come around fully, but she’s at least excited at the prospect of a grandchild.’
