Chapter 9 “Are we really going to kill Regotti, when we find him?” Rae asked as they drove back to the motel. “Do you know another way to get him off our backs?” Lou replied. She sighed, shook her head, then stared out the passenger-side window, deep in thought. It wasn’t until they parked the car in the motel lot that she said, “There may be another option.” “Such as?” Wayne asked. “I have to figure it out.” “And you’re not talking until you do.” “No, Dad, I’m not.” Lou glanced at Wayne, lifting an eyebrow.
