Chapter 3 They started the evening with dinner out. Mike drove them all the way to Missoula to a nice restaurant, the kind where you generally needed a reservation. She was worried for a minute about her choice of clothes, but Mike was wearing a clean pair of dark-wash jeans and a casual button-up shirt, nothing that screamed “fancy date,” so she relaxed and enjoyed herself. The food was good, a nice change from the old-style home-cooked everything Marie served. Marie was a fabulous cook, but it was nice to get something fancy for a change. Mike asked her a hundred thousand questions, from the time she got into the car until dinner was over.
