Lily’s POV
The bruises were gone, but the memory wasn’t. It was still fresh in my mind.
Every time I looked in the mirror, I could still see Jane’s handprint on my cheek, even though it had long faded. My wolf remembered. She’d gone silent after that night, like she was scared of being caught by Joe.
I miss home, I miss Sonia, I miss the freedom I had. I miss school. I know I didn't really have a social life over there, but the little I had, I miss it. I can't believe I am about to say this, but I miss… I miss Mark. I didn't come here with my phone, so I can't communicate with my mum or Sonia. I am not allowed to leave the palace without permission and Jane would never grant me permission to leave. I am not even allowed to talk to my aunty that works in the Palace too. .
