Well pretty much things happened next, Nathan and Skyler returned and Nathan decided to run into my room Skyler following him. At first, Nathan was confused about why was his daddy sleeping in my bed, but then he was happy that his dad was staying with him. I had to explain everything to Skyler and pretty much to dad too, who was not at all happy.
"I don't object to anything you do my love, but it's just that I don't want you to be hurt again," He said and left.
Nathan had to sleep in his bedroom because of the seductive the doc gave to Zander he kept having nightmares and screaming my name out. I had to soothe him back to sleep.
I hardly got any sleep the next day, I called the office and told them to send me all the files home. I'll work from home. Skyler called me to check upon us. I was glad he was supportive as a friend.
I kept wondering about the girl he left me for, I thought he was married to her by now. He never mentioned her once. I feel him and then gave him medicines. But his fever was not at all less. He tried to reach out to me every time he had nightmares and he screamed at the top of his lungs as I'm taken away from him.
Didn't he push me away??
I checked up on him now and then Nathan was scared at the beginning but he started understanding the situation.
My smart baby.
I was always around him and never left his side, the doctors said that its inappropriate to keep him at home, so I admitted him to the hospital. They asked about my relationship with him because they wanted a family member.
"I'm his friend, family friend" Thats all I said.
"But ma'am we need a family member".
" I'll call his mom," I said to them.
"Ok" And she proceeded.
I looked at my phone and kept thinking about calling them or not. They were my second parents and his mom, Emily was my mom. I loved them. But I never called them since my separation.
Will they hate me??
I gathered up my courage and dialed the number. It rang once, then twice, and then she picked up on the fourth ring.
"Hello," My voice was barely audible.
"Amy" She used to call me that. My eyes started to water.
"How are you, my child?? How could you forget your mother?? " She said me and I felt guilty.
"I'm sorry mommy" I couldn't stop myself crying on the phone.
"It's ok baby, I know it wasn't your fault. We are very disappointed with our son. We disowned him for doing that to you" She said.
"You shouldn't have done that. He needed you as he needs you now". I said to her.
" Why what happened?? Is he marrying that shank now?? "She sounded terribly upset.
He's not married.
" No mom he is in hospital. Come see him please, bring dad. "I told her.
" Ok baby I'll be there because you called not because I care for him" I know she's lying. She is a pretty bad lie.
"Be here soon" I said to her.
"I will " And ended up the call.
I go back to the room where Zander was hooked to with lots of machines and looked terrible.
He was under seductive medicines which kept him sleepy but didn't stop him from hallucinating. He kept on his screaming now and then.
"Doctor why is he screaming?? " I asked him.
"He is traumatized for the fact of leaving him, his brain and hearts have his feelings mixed up. He is having anxiety attacks. He has a lot to tell but no one to listen to him. He needs you. His brains can't handle the feeling of you not with him".
His language sounds foreign to me. But I still nodded.
I sat beside him and stared at his face, once filled with pride was now losing his shine. Bags under his eyes were clearly visible.
Suddenly he started to move and I knew why... He was having another attack. He started shaking and then came screaming.
"AMELIA!! AMELIA!! AMELIA" he kept on screaming.
I instantly grab his hands and brush his forehead and kiss him and then slowly said in his ears,
" I'm not leaving, I'm right here beside you".
I see he calms down instantly and then doc looks at me and smiles. I feel his heart was normal.
"He'll be ok soon".
" I hope so too".
Zander's P.O.V
I see myself sitting under the tree in the park and looking at a beautiful woman, who is engrossed in reading her favorite book Pride and Prejudice.
I walk up to her and sit beside her but she takes no notice of it.
When she lifted her angelic face, she immensely blushed and put her head down as if my stares were digging holes in her face. I never gathered up a word to speak to her. I just kept staring and staring.
".... like that?? " Her lips moved.
Her lips looked soft like jelly and red like a cherry. Ready to eat it.
"Excuse me," I said.
"I said why are you staring at me like that. " Her voice was angelic.
"Because you are beautiful, and anyone can be fool enough not to stare at you," I said out loud.
She blushed beet red.
She didn't lookup. She started to get up and walk away. I stopped her
"What's your name beautiful?? " I asked her.
"Amelia".
And then she walked away. I felt like my heart is breaking, I kept calling her but she never looked back.
I screamed and cried my lungs out, my vision blurred and I heard the angelic voice,
" I'm not leaving you, I'm right here beside you".
The voice calmed me.
My Amelia.
