My eyes were so heavy, my body slowly coming back to life, but still, it felt so heavy and unmovable. I tried to shift uncomfortably on my bed. The bed was a little small for a huge figure like me. I suddenly felt a figure running towards me. I was slowly opening my eyes to look at that figure.

I felt someone touching my hands and I took my time to see the person in front of me. As soon as I saw those brown warm eyes, electricity jolted within me and I felt her cheeks being heated up. I craved for her touch so long, I wanted to tell her so many things I wished I could tell her when she was mine.

She is still mine.

I wanted to speak but my throat was dried up like f*****g Sahara. She understood my  problem and then spoke up,

"Do you need some water ?" she asked.

Her angelic voice.

I nodded. She helped me sit up and then brought me a glass of water. Her body was so close to me, I wanted to embrace her for the rest of my life. She wanted outside to call the doctor to check up on me and then she came back, I tried to recall the incident that I landed up in hospital. I looked at her and then spoke,

"Amelia, why am I here?" I asked.

"Don't you remember anything??" she asked back.

I tried to recall my past incident and slowly I started recalling things,

"I  was drunk and the people threw me out of the bar...Streets.....Walking... Your house...You and Skyler" my head started paining making me impatient and disturbed mostly irritated. I looked at her, her most appealing eyes the ones I want to get lost into, and then in our intervened hands that were providing me warmth and happiness, she saw it too. She tried to remove her away but I gripped it tighter.  I can't lose her like this.

I wanted to speak but I was cut off by the doctor.

What shitty timing!!!!

" How are you Zander??" he asked me.

"I'm fine, I have Amelia beside me" I was feeling happy and was chuckling. She was quite beside me.

"She took a lot of care of you during these days, she's a keeper. Do not let her go" The doctor said smiling at me.

Thank god!! his mouth is not shitty like his timings. Thanks, Doc.

" I'll never let her go " my determination behind this statement was touching skies. She looked at me with a questioning face and then her realization face.

Yes !! I observe every expression of her. She doesn't know but she has quite a collection of faces.

We kept staring at the eyes of each other until the silence was broken by her ringing phone. She reached for it immediately and received the call. I didn't like her divided attention, I wanted her all to myself.

It must be Nathan or Skyler. I hate that man.

As soon as she walked out, I felt empty and lonely but when I heard the door click I thought it was her but standing and glaring at me was my mom. She came and sat beside me.

"How are you my boy??" she said.

I was about to say but she cut me off,

"I don't really wanna know, I came because Amelia called and I love her more, you shouldn't have done that to her Zan, I am so disappointed with you. You failed me and your dad." The words hit like a dagger and the pain on my head kept increasing making me restless. As soon as Amelia walked in, we both grew quiet.

Both mom and Amelia ran towards each other and hugged and cried. I felt invisible and immensely jealous.

"Mom...I missed you" Amelia said.

"I missed you too, my child" mom said. She studied her. and then said,

"Look at you, so beautiful and grown. I heard you are working with your father and flourishing your family business. I'm so proud of you" and my mom really was proud and so was I.

Amelia looked at me and understood that I was feeling left out in the room, I kept staring at her and oddly smiling. I heard mom scoffed at me,

"Ooh, I was talking to this man, who is highly irresponsible and has been troubling you for years. I can't see the reason why don't you leave her alone. She needs happiness too" she said to me.

 Though she tried to make it sound less harsh and bearable my head started hurting more and more.

"Mom it's ok," she said mom.

But my face was more filled with fury shock and anger. I started feeling nauseated, I felt her moving away from me, I  was irritated and angry.

"I love her mom, I made a mistake letting her go once and I'm not doing the same mistake again" the pain in my head was making me yell at my mom. I kept running my hands over my hair and gripped it in a fist, I started to feel uncomfortable, I wanted her touch to soothe me calm me down, and then I looked at her eyes.

I felt she was going away, she was not with me, she left me alone in the middle of nothing. I'm dying alone and no one at my funeral to call mine. Amelia leaving me was like the dead-end of all happiness in my life.

I stretched my hands to get reach of her my voice was shaking and eyes watery,

"Amelia, please don't go away I need you, please be with me. I'll die without you" I wanted to grab her and make her stay with me forever.

She had a sudden realization, she was coming closer to me, and before that she said something to my confused and teary mom but I was busy focusing on my Amelia. Mom left. While I kept screaming and shouting for Amelia.

She sat on the edge of the bed, I was not happy I wanted her to be more closed.

"Come closer please, I can't afford to stay away" I tried to reach out to her but all the wires were stopping me. She was finally closed and she was calming me down with her soothing voice.

"Calm down Zander, I'm here, calm down see-" I heard the door open. I saw Nathan walking in with Skyler. My nerves were bursting, I saw Amelia smiling at Skyler.

She is mine, I won't let him take her away from me and not like this.

I started screaming like no tomorrow, I gripped her so tight that she won't be able to go to him and then I threw myself at her. Skyler took crying Nathan in his arms and started to calm him down.

HE IS TRYING TO REPLACE ME!!!! HE IS TAKING MY PLACE!!

"STAY AWAY FROM AMELIA!!! SHE IS MINE!!! SHE WILL NEVER BE YOURS" I turned away from Skyler and then looked at Amelia " Please don't leave me please" I was crying more like pleading. She hugged me and I gripped her around her waist.

But my happiness was short-lived, I was separated from her by the doctors. I kept shouting and screaming for her, they were not letting me see her, and then the doctor injected me with something which made me dizzy and made me pass out.

Only the last thing I remember was Amelia's weary eyes and the warmth of her hand, I hope she never leaves me.

I'm never letting her go.
