Dagger Man - Chapter 1: Terror | Tragedy Arc
TEASER: FULL CHAPTER COMING SOON
The trees sway in unison as the midnight breeze hits and passes through them. The outskirts of the town Kitsabushikaro seems to be dead. No noise, no sound. Just pure silence. And yet..that silence sounds louder than words could ever describe. The moonlit sky brightens up the atmosphere, but, for some odd reason, the air seems to be tense, the light breeze flowing through a medium of humid air. The whole town is in anticipation of something; something bad. Something..drenched in red.
Meanwhile, in a wooden shack not far from the main town, there are two men. They talk for a while, before one of the men takes out a dagger. The other man screams, and the man with the dagger takes a step forward, raises his dagger, and in one, swift motion, cuts the man’s right arm off. There’s a splatter of blood; then, with another swift motion, both of the man’s arms are on the ground, bleeding like a mini blood waterfall. The man with the dagger now leans in and talks so quietly that not even the crickets moving within the grass could hear. The bleeding, tortured man stays quit for a few seconds, before finally uttering a response that seems to have made the armed man angry. He says something in a low tone, sort of like a quiet chant, and then, within two seconds, his dagger bursts into flames and the disabled man screams. The man with the dagger raises the dagger in a wide arc, and, yells, “THE TSUNAMI OF HELL”. Suddenly, the injured man's lungs compressed like he was actually in a Tsunami, and face-melting heat engulfed him.The last thing he knew was the smug look on the Dagger Man's face and the face of his wife and 2 year old son. In less than a millisecond, the man on the ground was gone. His head had been cut clean off. Flames engulfed the dagger-man, and blood was everywhere.
“What a nuisance”, the dagger-man says. “Fine. If he won’t give me the coordinates to that boy, I will find him myself.” With a grin on his handsome face, he vaporizes into dust, leaving nothing but a dead body in his wake.
