Chapters 1
I still remember the day I lost my parents in a car accident when I was just five years old. It's sad that a child should lose his parents at such a young age. Who will take care of me? I'm just a five-year-old boy. None of the relatives came to my parents' funeral. There was no other choice but to send me to an orphanage. What a poor boy, they must have thought. As I stood next to them, holding my parents' photo frame, I wanted to shout, "Don't look at me with those pitying eyes!" But those are just distant memories now. Today, I turn 16, and that means I can move out of the orphanage and return to my childhood home. I feel excited and scared at the same time. I still remember that in that house are all my parents' memories, as well as mine.
As I walked down the road, I realized I was standing at the front gate of the house. Finally, I had reached. I thought it was farther from the orphanage than I had thought. Well, I reached earlier than I had thought. In the meantime, I should also ready the transfer papers as I will be a transfer student. It will be weird that I am going to join school in the middle of spring. But as I walked inside the house, it was oddly messy, and there were things that I didn't recognize. From what I remember from the orphanage, some of my relatives were supposed to use my house for the time being. Obviously, at first, I refused, but they said that in exchange, they would pay my tuition fees and promised that once I turned 16, they would return the house to me. Maybe it's their belongings that they forgot to take. Anyway, I felt very sleepy after walking and doing all the paperwork for the transfer. From tomorrow onwards, I will be living alone in my precious house that my parents left for me.
As I was lying on my bed, my eyelids were getting heavy. By the time I realized it, I had fallen into a sound sleep. What is this feeling? I can't breathe. Am I drowning? I was in my house, sleeping in my bedroom. I can't hold my breath. As I opened my eyes, I found myself in an unusual position, tied up in the front room with a chair. And in front of me, there were standing five attractive ladies.
"Hey, Kanon, I think we should untie him. I feel a little sorry," one of them said. "Oi, Yuu, we can't trust this trespasser entering our house and falling asleep. Luckily, we caught him before he could steal anything and run. Tsukasa, call the police," another one said. "I already did," Tsukasa replied.
"You people, who are you calling a trespasser and a thief? You people are the ones trespassing into my house," I retorted. The five ladies made surprised faces. "Trespassing? Your house? Oi, are you still dreaming?" one of them asked.
"I am not. I am the owner of the house, Ohara Koichi," I said.
"He's saying something funny. The owner of the house is Shinji Osaka," one of them said, laughing.
"That guy is supposed to be one of my relatives who was supposed to use this house for the time being until I turned 16," I explained.
"Hey, Kurea, we should try calling Osaka-san to confirm what he is saying," Mio suggested.
As they were in the other room talking with the relative, I was thinking that this couldn't get any worse. As I heard them entering the room, I heard them say, "Well, we talked with Osaka, and he said what you were telling us was all true. And he forgot to inform us about you and stuff. Well, anyway, this is our fault. And your fault for entering the house and falling asleep."
"Ah! My fault? I am the victim here, out of nowhere, getting tied up in my own house by a bunch of strangers," I retorted.
"Oi, oi, what's with that attitude? I am trying to apologize here. It doesn't sound like one," one of them said, her stomach rumbling.
"Kurea is feeling hungry. Yuu, is dinner ready?" another one asked.
"Ah, today is my turn to cook dinner. Sorry, I will prepare the dinner now," Yuu replied.
"Oi, we are still discussing something important here," I protested.
"Koichi-san, hmm, can we discuss this after dinner?" one of them asked, her stomach rumbling.
"Tch... Suit yourself," I grumbled.
As I was staring at them while they were getting freshened up and cooking food, a few times passed, and the dinner was ready. "Everyone, come down. Wow, today is chicken curry. Well, I didn't have much time, so I just made curry. Koichi-san, you haven't had your dinner yet. Please join us," Yuu invited.
"Huh, are you an i***t?" I retorted.
"What is that attitude? Even though you are nicely asking, I don't have manners at all. Didn't my parents ever teach me how to talk with ladies? Tch. None of your business, gorilla woman. What did I say? Can't you hear me, gorilla woman?"
"It looks like I need to teach you how to talk with a lady. THAT'S ENOUGH, both of you, Kanon-san, Koichi-san. It's dinner time. Yuu, it's his fault. Huh, my fault? You Gorilla, what a foul mouth. Enough, both of you. You guys are disturbing the neighbors. Finish your dinner," one of them said.
"What's with her, getting woke up? Whatever, let's eat the food first," I thought. As I took the first bite, before I could process, the word slipped from my lips. "It's delicious. Thank goodness, I was worried whether the taste would suit my preference or not. Yuu is great at cooking," I complimented. As we all finished eating, one of them suggested, "Can we discuss?" They were all making a serious face, looking at me.
"I will come to the point. You guys are a pain in the ass. And it doesn't matter what deal you guys made with Osaka. I am the rightful owner of the house. Sorry to you guys, but you all need to leave this house. Don't worry, I won't tell you to leave now, but by tomorrow, I want the house empty," I declared. As I was about to finish, my words were cut off by a foreign-looking twin-tail girl. "That is an abuse of power. Kurea is against it. Kurea likes it here," she protested. As I was about to say, the silent and mature-looking woman opened her mouth. "Kurea, we can't stay here. That's why you can't be selfish about it, Mio. But, but..."
"As Mio-san said, we can't be selfish about it. This house belongs to me, Koichi-san. Sorry, Kurea," one of them apologized.
"Ah ha, what a shame. We finally got a nice house to stay in, but now we need to leave it. It looks like we don't have luck," the Gorilla woman finished talking. I continued, "Well, that's it for the discussion. Tomorrow, I have a lot of things to do." As I was about to go back to my room, the five women left the first room. As I looked at them dumbfoundedly, one of them said, "By the way, all the bedrooms are occupied by us, so you need to sleep on the sofa." As I was about to give a reply, they already went to their rooms. "Well, for today, let's just sleep on the sofa. So many things happened, my brain can't process. Let's just sleep for today".
