Hidden Mate

Confusion

LeighAnn was worried. Did he know she was a werewolf? What justified him saying that to her when he apparently didnt know if she was a werewolf or a human? So many thoughts were running through her mind and she couldnt concentrate on what she was doing. 

"Earth to LeighAnn!" Theo waved his hand in front of her and laughed. "Whats got you so distracted this morning?" She loved his laugh. He was such a xarefree, enigmatic guy who hardly ever let snything get to him, which was partly why they were friends. There was that, and the fact that he was gay. He had an aura around him that everybody loved and he was the closest person to a best friend she had in this world. 

"Sorry honey, I was just lost in thought. Im here now." LeighAnn looked at him and smiled. "I have lots of things on my mind lately." Mainly being worried about a certain new coworker. 

"Anything you need to talk about doll? You know I am always up for some listening." Theo wiggles his eyebrows as he smiles at LeighAnn and she laughs and pats him on the arm. "Nothing to be too concerning Theo." She says with a smile. 

No sooner did she get done saying that, and the new guy comes in. He lifts his chin up and stares at LeighAnn. Theo notices the tension and goes to introduce himself to the new coworker and puts his hand out. "Hey buddy, im Theo. Whats your name?" He smiles brightly at Hoyt and is met with a small nod. "Im Hoyt. Nice to meet you." Hoyt takes his hand a gives it a shake. 

"Wow. Thats a strong handshake you got there." Theo pulls his hand away and rubs it. He laughs and says, "How did you get such strong hands?" Hoyt just stares at him for a moment and then laughs. "My Father always told me the respect of a man is in his handshake. I always try to give respect upon the first meeting." He glanced over at LeighAnn and grinned. 

"Duly noted." Theo who is still rubbing his hand goes to introduce LeighAnn. "This is LeighAnn Savage, she is a very intellectual technician and is one of the top grade behaviorist assistants." 

LeighAnn smacked Theo on the arm, and laughed. Why is he telling this guy anything about me? Ugh. She thought to herself. Hoyt held out his hand, and LeighAnn had a hunch that if she touched him what would happen and she needed to figure out quickly how to hide that reaction. She knew he was something to her, but she didnt know what. 

LeighAnn takes Hoyt's hand, and sure enough, the sparks went from her fingertips all the way up her arm. Holy crap, she thought to herself. Emerie her eolf started howling. He is our mate! LeighAnn our mate has found us!  Oh Lord. LeighAnn knew he felt the sparks, but he never reacted, just like LeighAnn had hidden her reaction quite well. 

They held on to each others hands a little bit longer than expected and Theo cleared his throat to see if that would get their attention. 

"Oh, sorry!" LeighAnn quickly pulled her hand away from his and blushed. "Sorry Theo, I will get started on the enrichment now." LeighAnn quickly walked away from them and went to the toys to get them ready for cage change. "It was nice to meet you Hoyt." She said as she walked away. 

Hoyt looked at Theo who seemed very confused at the whole interaction. "Do you two know each other?" Theo looked curiously at Hoyt now. 

"No, but I plan on getting to know her." Hoyt said with a smirk. He was very interested in getting to know the hidden werewolf that lives in the human world.  He was just confused on how she managed to hide herself for this long.
