That one hug felt like a union which she had waited an eternity for. Hunter was squeezing her so hard that her ribs complained, but still, she held on to him. Holding him tight and breathing in the wonderful similar comforting manly smell coming from his body. His return was all the reassurance her soul needed to know that everything would be okay.
“I have missed you so much, don’t ever leave home again.” She whispered emotionally.
“Anything you say, my mate.” He answered her with a light chuckle. This was the first heartfelt welcome he had received from her. Perhaps he should consider going away for long periods of time more often, he thought.
“We should probably go and check on the children now,” she suggested after a few minutes. Her head was still resting on his shoulders.
