I wake up refreshed but also a little nervous for my first day of lessons. I get dressed in my uniform, brush my teeth, and then head out into the main part of the suite. Poppy and Ivy are both up and ready, so we wait for Lucy to head down to breakfast before our first lesson. Breakfast is busy, but there are so many options available, so it doesn't take long to get food. We all sit down together, and Poppy says, "Who else is super nervous for today? I'm excited to be here but I don't know what to expect for each lesson and that makes me so nervous!" Ivy and Lucy both agree with her, so I decide to go over each class and see what everyone thinks we could expect. "It looks like we start with history on the lost Isles, so that will certainly be interesting. I've heard of the lost Isles. They consist of Warlocks and Shapeshifters, and since we haven't heard from either races in a while, I'm sure we will be talking about that." Everyone agrees, so I continue with."The next class is Potions 101, which seems pretty self-explanatory. After that is physical training and combat, which will probably be difficult but good to learn." Lucy speaks up and says,"I am not excited for that class, you know how I hate sweating!" We all laugh, and I continue on."After lunch, we will have fairy portals, which will be fun to learn! Next, we will have Magics of fairy where we will probably learn all the types of magic, maybe even the lost magic!" Everyone ooohs at that one, and I say,"And last we will have History on the Fairy Isles where we most likely learn about each Isle more in depth. Lucy and I will have lessons with Kingsguard Conroy after our last class, so you two might have to eat dinner without us unless you want to wait." Ivy speaks up with "Poppy and I both have lessons with our Kingsguards as well so we can just meet for dinner after!" We all agree with today's plans and continue eating our breakfast in comfortable silence.
As we finish our breakfast, I collect all the trash and go to throw it away. On my way to the garbage cans, another girl runs into me and scoffs while telling me to watch where I'm going. I just continued on with what I was doing when she grabbed my arm and said, "Excuse me?! I was talking to you. You really should apologize when you run into people instead of being so rude and acting like you're the only person who exists!" I yank my arm from her grasp and say,"Oh, I'm sorry that you didn't see where you were walking and ran into me! I can't believe you would just go off on a random stranger for your clumsiness, but I'm not going to put up with it." Her face turns beet red, and she makes a frustrated noise and says,"This isn't the last of me you will see, and you sure will be sorry soon!" Then she turns on her heel and walks away with a group of girls I didn't even notice that was waiting around for her. I throw all the trash away and head back to where Lucy and our suite mates are waiting when Poppy exclaims, "Oh my gosh Aurora, don't you know who that is?! That's Delphine, one of the Royal Advisors' daughters! She's got a wicked mean streak too, I suggest you be careful around her and her friends, or she could make your time here really difficult!"Ivy gasps, and Lucy speaks up "Oh we aren't scared of her! We don't agree with bullies no matter what, and she will get what's coming to her if she's really that mean!" I make a noise of agreement and state that 8lwe should make our way to the first lesson so we aren't late.
We make it to our first lesson, History on the lost Isles, and notice that the tables seat four each and have names on them. We find the table with our names on it and take a seat. They must keep suite mates together since our points to stay in school rely on each other too. Right as the bell rings, the teacher walks into the room and tells everyone to settle down. Once everyone is quiet, he introduces himself, "Hello everyone, my name is Prifessor Malone and I am a Werewolf teaching all of you about the history of the lost Isles. We will begin class with a large pop quiz. This will not affect your grades at all but will give me more information on how much knowledge each of you has on the lost Isles." He passes out the pop quiz and instructs us to begin without speaking to our suite mates. He explains that he needs this information to see if he needs to adjust the syllabus before it is handed out during tomorrow's lesson. We are told to hand in our quiz once finished, then we are allowed to leave and possibly enjoy getting out of this lesson early depending on how long the quiz takes us. Everyone cheers, then quiets down to begin their quiz, and I take my time on each question. I actually know quite a bit about the history of the lost Isles since I've spent so much time in the library back home. I feel confident that I know the information and get it correct as I finish the quiz and prepare to bring it to the teacher so I can leave. As I look up, I notice that about half the class has left, but Lucy, Ivy, and Poppy are still working on their quizzes. I grab my bag and go hand my finished quiz over to the teacher, and head out into the hallway to wait for my suite mates.
