# vote#Episode One: The Gift of Time
Every morning, Daniel’s alarm rang at six o’clock, but he rarely got out of bed immediately. He would reach for his phone, promising himself he would check it for only five minutes. Somehow, five minutes became an hour.
One Monday morning, his mother found him still in bed while the sun was already shining brightly through the window.
“Daniel, you will be late for school,” she warned.
“I’m coming,” he replied, though he was still watching videos.
At school, Daniel arrived after the first lesson had begun. His teacher, Mr. James, looked at him with disappointment.
“Daniel, you are talented,” he said. “But talent without discipline is like a seed left without water.”
Daniel lowered his head. He had heard similar words many times, but that day they touched his heart.
During break, his best friend, Samuel, showed him a small notebook. On the first page, Samuel had written three goals: study for one hour, practise drawing, and help his mother at home.
“What is that?” Daniel asked.
“My plan,” Samuel answered. “Time is a gift. If we waste it today, we cannot buy it back tomorrow.”
Those words followed Daniel throughout the day. That evening, he looked at his phone, then at his schoolbooks. For the first time, he understood that his future was being shaped by the choices he made every day.
He switched off the phone, opened his notebook, and wrote:
“Tomorrow, I will use my time wisely.”
It was a small decision, but it became the beginning of a new life.
