In the very first world created and abandoned by the first gods, Origin, existed human kingdoms, in which was at war with the other residents of this world. At the south eastern tip of the continent of Randia, lies the kingdom of Laurel. In this very kingdom lives, a princess with a title of 'Silver Princess'. Her name is Amelia Laurel.

Amelia views the world quite differently.

"Why is it that most princesses are born to be naive?"

"Why are heroes dense like adamantite?"

Silver Amelia - Prologue
Right at this moment, I am sitting on a chair overlooking the Knights performing their respective training. The Knights currently in the field are what the kingdom of Laurel boasts of as the royal guards. The royal guards are given the task to mainly protect and escort the members of the royal family. Although they are not specialized in fighting against monsters on the field, they are experts in interpersonal combat. But to my dismay, this is not something that I expected of the royal guards. Instead of the actual mock battle, a sword dance, or an actual duel, they were only performing their sword strikes at wooden pells. Although they are striking pells, their movements are refined, and graceful in a way, but they lack the impression of the ‘strong’. “Your Royal Highness, would it be fine to request your opinion on this matter?” My personal maidservant, Erina, asked. “Disappointing” I replied. Others may be satisfied with this level of performance they are currently displaying, but that does not include me. “You have my sympathy, your Highness.” Although few, I was able to visit other neighboring kingdoms while accompanying my grandfather when I was around 9 years of age. And during the visits, their show of military performance was a few levels above what is currently being showcased. A diplomatic show of military might may be a staged performance, but they still have the presence of the ‘strong’. I mean, they aren’t even using magic to make it more appealing or intimidating. After waiting in agony for a few more minutes, the training halted, the Knights came forward in an orderly manner. After arranging themselves, one representative came to the front and at the same time, they gently bowed. “Her Royal Highness, Princess of Laurel, we give our utmost gratitude for participating in the training of the royal guards,” Said the Knight. Ah… a typical handsome young Knight, blonde hair, blue eyes, masculine, and a confident smile. I wonder how many noblewomen had he brought to his chamber. “No, as guards of the royal family, I ought to offer to offer my gratitude. The royal guards have defended and supported our family for decades; I hope this relationship would continue to persist as it weathers through time.” “Fear not your Highness; it is our pledge and honor to defend the royalty of Laurel with our lives. Please do not hesitate to use us as your arms and shield.” “Truly, the royal family is blessed to have Knights like you at their side. If it is not too much to ask for, I would be expecting more of the royal guards.” “Worry not; your Highnesses expectation shall properly be met.” “Well then, if you would excuse me, I have some other matters to attend to.” After I disappeared into the hallway, the Knights took one last bow and dispersed. Free at last! I should rest at the manor after going back. Why didn’t they prepare something more fitting of the royal guards? Are they mocking me? In just a few steps away to the entrance, a voice suddenly sounded. “Amelia! Wait a moment Amelia!” The hurried footsteps resounding on the hallway suddenly halted. Ah, this rude voice. I turned around to meet the owner of the voice with a gentle smile. “My, If it isn’t Lord Tervin. Is there something urgent that requires my immediate attention?” “Finally, I found you.” While slightly gasping for air “Hmm?” I slightly tilted my head to the side. What is it now? “Amelia, how is it? That is, your travel back here?” Isn’t it obvious that I would be tired after a long travel, and painstakingly have to agonize over that training? “As you can see, I am fairly well, but considerably tired and would like to take some rest.” “Amelia, you can drop the formal speech you know. We are cousins, you know. So come on, let’s be casual like when we were kids.” This prick. We are no longer kids, and we haven’t met for 2 long years. This is Lord Tervin my cousin, Hans Tervin age of 15, Son of Duke Tervin which is my uncle. I used to play with him and some other children of the nobility when I was still a child. “My apologies Lord Tervin, but I wish to make haste and receive a fitting rest, so please state your business.” Lord Tervin frowned at my statement. “Sigh. Well fine. You are invited to a Banquet tonight at the palace gardens, everyone would be waiting, and oh, it will be hosted by my father, so be sure to come.” I looked to Erina. “My apologies your Highness, I have yet to be informed of such gathering.” “Well that is expected, some parts of it were rushed anyway.” Rushed you say? “Is it not possible to prepare such a large gathering, in such little time?” “Well, I guess? Just come later and you will see. Well then, I’ll be going now. See you later Amelia!” And so he left. “Your Highness, let us return to the carriage,” Erina asked. “Yeah, you’re right, let us return.” As I relax inside the carriage. “Hmm… Erina do you know any reason why they would rush such an event?” “Apologies your Highness, I lack the necessary information.” “Erina, we are inside the carriage so should drop the formal speech. Even the coachman cannot hear us.” “I beg your pardon.” “It’s been quite a while, huh, that is since we last joined a banquet.” “Would you be joining?” “Honestly, I feel something is not right for a banquet to be prepared hastily, but since it’s been quite a while, might as well.” “Wouldn’t it be dangerous? We should at least gather information on the participants.” “Let’s do that then.” “It has also been a while since you wore a dress, so I’ll prepare something ‘appealing’. Fu fu fu.” I glared back at Erina. “Erina, whatever you are plotting, please stop.” “My, my, whatever are you referring to your Highness?” Erina covers her mouth with one hand and laughs mischievously. “Seriously Erina, please stop.” “It’s not like you would immediately have babies, your Highness.” “That leap in logic of yours is quite disturbing! Please take that back!” Well, let’s leave the rowdy conversation in the carriage for a while. In any case, I am Amelia Laurel, the 1st princess and 2nd child born between my father king Auguste Laurel, and my mother Queen Diane Laurel. Currently, I’m the 3rd candidate to be the heir to the throne in the kingdom of Laurel. Well, not that it matters to me anyway. Oh, and you might be thinking, that I’m hysterical or weird in some sort of way. Well I kind of think myself as an eccentric for a princess so, In any case, whoever you are, whom I do not see, feel, nor touch. I want you to see my story. I want you to know who and what I really am. Not like some typical beautiful princess, up for grabs just to be saved by some sort of dense hero like the stories do. Now you are might be thinking, “Why is she talking to us?” or “What are you expecting from us?” or something like “Is this some kind of template?” Well, it’s not like I know that some sort of power or being is watching over me, or to be precise watching over ‘us’. It’s just that I wanted to believe that there is someone out there who could see the bigger picture, which is you. And so I am asking this favor of you. I want you to know who I, Amelia Laurel am as a person and as a princess. I want you, who have no power or whatsoever to neither help nor interfere with the decisions I made to bear witness to the truth. I want my name and the truth of my existence to have its place. This is my story, as the silver princess in this rotten world.
