Chapter 23 - The History (4)

"No, I'm just an ordinary hybrid," he said, startling Elleryn. Elleryn takes a deep breath, before trying to calm her quicken heartbeat. For the first time in her entire life, she could feel fear spreading through her entire body, she never met a hybrid before, mainly because they are mostly kept to themselves and never heard taking a step inside Qye. She knows that hybrid is much more powerful than vampire and werewolf, there's also some that said a hybrid is on the same level as the first daughter of Qye. However, she couldn't believe such a thing because there were never any written records of information in terms of their abilities and power.  "Just like I said, I'm an ordinary hybrid. I don't have other powers besides being able to read your mind and talk inside your head easily, please regard me as one of your servants," he said, smiling once again. "Please stop reading my mind and talk inside my head, I would appreciate it if you could do that," Elleryn finally said, after finishing assessing him. He nodded before glancing towards the book once again, the only book inside the library that was sealed with a protection spell. "What do you know about this book," Elleryn said, expecting him to start talking and pour out everything he knows. But he only looks at the book for a long time, smiles and just closes his eyes before meeting Elleryn once again. "Shall we start," Willy said, his white eyes twinkling with excitement. Elleryn was a little flustered at that. But she listens anyway. The end of Tioddre was not the end of the Royal Family. Rumor couldn't begin without facts going around, after the claim of Tioddre by Suttern that was aided by the Tioddre themselves. There are ten people that were appointed as The Councils, like the Suttern Royal Family, The Councils was also passed down to the next generation. Rules and many considerations were made out of these ten people, before then being agreed by The King. The ten people varied from six werewolves, two witches, one fairy, and the rumor that said a hybrid was actually one of The Council. If one member of the Council did not agree upon one thing, the King couldn't make any decision until all the members agreed all together. So in this case, the King was not the one who ruled the Suttern, the Council did. There's some history record that said the only fairy in the room was actually against the marriage between Qye and Suttern, but all the Council was able to persuade the King and pressed the fairy to actually agree with the said proposition. Needless to say, the Council was ruled by the six werewolf families. In conclusion, if a Lady of Qye was about to rearrange The Deal made from a thousand years ago, she had to face the Councils and persuade them to let her out of the Deal, the mere idea is entirely impossible. "I know it's not going to be easy, but how did you know that I'm looking for a way out," Elleryn said, beginning to doubt him again. "Just like you, Lady Byrl and other first daughters always looking for a way out, I remember Lady Byrl said to me that she wants to be free," a bizarre word to put together, a Lady of Qye and free, those two words couldn't be associated together and everyone inside the castle is aware of it. "She used to spend almost the entire day reading each record and script that perhaps could create a little hole of freedom for her, a way out," he explained, but that did not answer why the book was sealed with the spell. "For the record, I can't open the book, and it's not what it said it to be," Willy said, standing up from his seat and beginning to walk towards the opposite side of the room. He continued doing his work that previously was paused for Elleryn, leaving confused and bewildered Elleryn behind. It's not what is said to be.    • • ⊱∘────·❅·────∘⊰ • •   Only one ring catches Elleryn's attention the moment Yoani put down a tray with several selections of rings inside a polished smooth silver box, perhaps it was the color of that ring that made her eyes drawn easily or the unique cursive around the gem. It shines brightly, without the need of the sun reflecting its charm and there is something soothing about the gem and Elleryn knows she likes it, loves it indeed. "This one? It's called Yveon. It's made with the help of fairies from Qriopel, they will be thrilled if you choose that," Yoani cheerfully said. Elleryn nods and touches the ring carefully, afraid that the gem will suddenly c***k at her touch, not that it's impossible. She tried the ring, loving the way it fits her ring finger, smiling at Yoani, she nodded in confirmation. The only thing she truly owns. Yoani takes the rest of the rings before she excuses herself and leaves the room. Still fascinated by the ring, Elleryn keeps touching the gem with her forefinger, smiling at it. The Wedding will happen in three days. Of course, news has spread like wildfire, and the city was flooded with people from different lands and kingdoms, troops of troupe have filled the street to celebrate the relationship once again. The cheers and shout filled with excitement could be heard at night from Elleryn chamber, little dots of lights and sound of crowds from the distance could still be seen even when it reached midnight. She had heard from Yoani about how prices went up rapidly within each day, but the happiness and excitement could still be felt. And deep down, Elleryn could feel it as well. Because her family will arrive the day after tomorrow, and the mere thought of that puts a smile on her face until the thought of her vision comes up inside her mind. She keeps convincing herself that perhaps she has seen wrong. The probability of the vision turning true never went above fifty percent, she keeps chanting inside her mind that she was delusional at that time. It was a nightmare that should have vanished. But she can't, that's the problem. Fifi keeps coming to her room since the measurement day, bringing papers with drawings of colorful dresses for her daily life inside the Suttern. She said she had finished Elleryn’s wedding gown already, with the approval by the Queen. Of course, Elleryn happens to like it as well. Her biggest desire at the moment was to break the spell that sealed the book, she can't come up with an incantation that is able to break the spell adamantly protects its content. The book, for now, locked inside her second drawer, protected with a spell as well. She bit her lower lip, enthusiastic to read that book, the words that Willy utter that time kept echoing inside her head, turning her crazy by the minute. There's a possibility that the book wasn’t really what it appears, a big chance that perhaps it wasn't supposedly called The End of Tioddre. She could only speculate though because nothing can break the spell at the moment. Elleryn sighs, she stands up from her seat, closing her eyes then takes a deep breath and opens her eyes once again. She finds herself standing in the middle of the forest, by the Eyions Lake. Of course, she could teleport. Elleryn walks around the side of the lake, sitting down and touching the surface of the lake with her fingertips, calling Madia. Another way to call a mermaid, but could only be accomplished after gaining the trust of the said mermaid. There are things that she couldn't say in front of Yoani and Deair, as close as she had to both of them, she couldn't complain about her life inside Suttern to the two of them. They wouldn't understand, therefore sometime during the night or during the day just like right now, she would teleport or walk to the Eyions Lake herself, calling Madia and talking to her nonstop. Madia only listens though, she never interjects or asks. All she does is listen to each word that Elleryn happens to pour out of her mouth, staring at her eyes before she gets inside the lake, leaving Elleryn. Elleryn never bother by that, the fact that someone is listening to her was enough, because Elleryn knows Madia couldn't do anything. So it was quite surprising for Elleryn when she did speak after Elleryn finished talking. "Have you tried the f*******n incantation?" Madia whispers, startling Elleryn. She thinks for a while, trying to remember what she had tried and what she had not. "As a Daughter of Qye, I wasn't allowed to," Elleryn said this time, staring at Madia's eyes. "So finding a way out by breaking a protection spell is allowed?" Madia said, raising her eyebrow towards Elleryn, who could only smile sheepishly at her. Madia sighs, swimming backward and keeping her eyes on Elleryn. "You should really finalize your thoughts before planning anything," Madia said, about to swim away but she stops herself and looks at Elleryn once again. "I'll see you at the wedding night," she smiles before disappearing into the lake. Elleryn nods her head. "I'll see you then," Elleryn whispered, before closing her eyes and opening it, finding herself inside her room once again. At that time Yoani came inside, her eyes were wide open as if she was surprised to find Elleryn was there. "I was here a moment ago, I was sure that no one was inside, but how did-?" Yoani stammers, glancing around the room before settling her eyes on Elleryn. There are so many things Suttern doesn't know, huh? "I get inside just now," Elleryn said, not caring whether Yoani believes it or not. Because by the look of it, Yoani was aware that was not possible.
