Edra glances around the Ceremony Hall, the very same place she meets Arax for the first time, that time when Arax and Byrl stand side by side, uttering the vow and binding their life together in marriage with no purpose of heir or love. It was love at first sight, funny how she could love someone immediately after laying eyes upon him, even though it was clear he is beside someone else at that time, Edra keeps remind herself, Lady Byrl is only a deal, someone who couldn’t bring him happiness as she could, she is just a puppet to be kept alive inside the castle.
Edra only believes in the way her heart chooses to beat whenever she sees him like he is the core reason she is alive and breathing, she is blind by everything. She wants one thing that she could never have, his heart. She spends almost two hours standing in front of a mirror, choosing from one dress to another, trying to look good, despite her Mother keep telling her that she looks perfect.
All for him, her meeting with him not long after his birthday celebration.
Arax's father sits beside him, and Edra’s father sits beside her. Their father announced their marriage at that time.
She still remembers that time when he sits right across her with a hard and cold stature around him, the way his eyes flinch whenever their father talks about their union in marriage or how he never takes interest in her, she knows right away.
That he could never be hers.
For he already had someone else in his heart at that time, his true mate.
Although it was hurtful, she accepts it anyway, the fact that she is only a second mate for him.
So she keeps it inside her heart, buried deep within bloodied heart.
Because of that time, she believes he will eventually love her.
'Believe'
Edra glances to her right side, Arax standing with a stone face and a cold expression on his face.
'Believe.'

The Ten Councils are present, as well as the representative of other countries, a few high titled creatures, and more.
All of them are witnesses to this wedding.
To the end of Elleryn’s life.
They all smile wide towards the two of them, wishing happiness that would never come.
“Please, drink the potion now,” the elder said. Urging them to gulp down the liquid inside the cup they both grasp, the content of the cups is different. Elleryn’s cup is filled with a cast and spell to bound her life and devote herself to Suttern, while Rydan’s cup is only filled with water.
The light blue potion sparkling on the surface as it emits a sour scent. Elleryn gulps the content down right away, wincing when the horrible taste touches her tongue, she closes her mouth with her hand after that, afraid to let it out unconsciously, after making sure she isn't going to vomit any second, Rydan gulps down his water and stands right beside Elleryn.
Elleryn’s eyes wander around, she finds Madia within the crowd, standing with a light green dress that suits well with her hair and skin. Madia smiles and winks at her, but she can only smile a little because her worries haven't dissipated yet.
It happened so fast.
Much faster than the rush of the wind when a dragon flies away, faster than when wind brush harshly within the forest, It was faster than anything.
Within seconds, a soft chime of bells was heard, paralyzing each creature inside the room, except Elleryn.
She saw it all, black smoke rushing from a corner of the room, straight towards Rydan, aiming to his chest, meaning to kill. Elleryn is quick on her feet, standing in front of him, to protect him and keeping him safe.
But then, a flash of white stands in front of Elleryn, shielding her from the spell and receiving the spell straight to its chest.
Everything turned silent. A creature falls down and breathes heavily on the floor, clearly having difficulty staying awake.
Genieve shows her form, blood swirling out of her heart, the black smoke still lingers around the dragon, adamant to stay. Her eyes fluttered shut, her breath became hitch before she let out her last breath, her soul leaving her body, leaving this world.
Elleryn froze in place, seconds later her loud and hurtful scream was heard throughout the room, she crouches down immediately, her fingers trembling with disbelief and touching the corpse of the dragon, the dragon that still considers a child in this world.
Her eyes search for Ezana after that.
Because a dragon’s and its chosen are connected by an invisible bond that only the two of them felt.

Ezana passes out right after that, her body was caught immediately by her father, her mother at her side, checking Ezana’s right away.
“We will take care of her, you calm your sister,” Leor instructs Ladon right away, aware of how she would turn after all of this.
Ladon nods and takes a closer step to her sister followed by Fabin and Kyzen behind. Avra quickly wraps her arms around Ezana and whispers healing spells for her, while Ladon decides to bring her daughter off the floor, asking for the way to a vacant room from a servant.
Elleryn’s eyes catch the two people who send the spell just now. They are lying on the floor spilling blood from their own heart.
That's what you get when uttering a spell that intends to kill.
Your own body is the price.
She turns around and sends her glare towards the King.
Piercing to the soul, scaring the ruler.
“I told you,” she seethes, she turns around and walks with a hurried step out of the room.
Ladon, Fabin, and Kyzen followed their sister right away. They know something’s going to happen.
Rydan was about to follow them, but the Queen was quick with her step. Edra stands before him with narrow eyes, reminding him once again of the talk that they have done not long ago.
“You promise,” Edra whispered, for him to hear, for him only.
Rydan stares into his mother’s eyes, not staggering one bit from what he decides to do.
And Edra didn’t want to believe it, what he said after.
“I’m sorry, Mother. I can’t keep it after all,” he says and runs towards Elleryn’s brother, leaving the Ceremony Hall that is now full of whispering and murmurs of the attendee.
Edra closes her eyes, taking a deep breath and find Arax’s eyes, he himself in a trance after what happen right before his eyes.
