Rainy day.
“James!!!”
His mother yelled “yeah???” He went running down stairs
“Could you go to the store and get me rice for tomorrow?”
”BUT ITS RAINING A LOT” she stared at him
“Fine” already looking irritated
She smiled “Thanks sweetie here’s 30 dollars”
He got them, went towards the door, put his shoes on and left.
Walking towards the store and checks his phone
“9:45 great.and I still gotta do my homework”
It starts raining harder
“What the hell”
He started running,he finally got in the store
“f**k it got worse.i hate this”
He went towards the rice section, get his rice and heads to check out also got a red-bull,and stole some cigarettes & left the store. while walking out with a cigarette in his mouth lighting it up,without looking he bumps into Mr Riku. The new teacher he didn’t know about.
“f**k,watch where your going”
The cigarette falls out his mouth
Riku then looks at James
“What?? Aren’t you gonna say sorry??”
James reaches for the cigarette and puts it back in his mouth.Riku then takes it back out and puts it in his pocket.
“You look too young to smoke??”
“Dude, you can’t just take something out from
someone mouth”
“Why would you care.you’re underage smoking”
James didn’t have the energy to argue since he
was already stress out with his mom
“Okay, fine sorry, just keep the cigarette.its
getting late for me”
James runs out the store and heads home
Riku watches James run out and fading into the dark.
“I’m back”
James walks, takes his shoes off and walks to the kitchen
“Heres your rice”
His mom comes smiling
“AHH Thanks my sweet heart”
Gives him a kiss on the cheek
“What’s wrong??”
James mom asked
“Your face is kinda red,did you get a allergic reaction”
She puts her hand on his cheeks moving his head side to side to check
“Gosh mom stop it’s nothing I’m just sweaty”
Pfff yeah right James is definitely just sweaty,
Her hands comes down
“Hm all right…okay go get change you have school tomorrow!”
James heads upstairs, gets ready and goes to bed.
James lays in bed, staring at the ceiling as the sound of rain tapped softly against his window.
He touched his cheek, still warm, and let out a quiet sigh.”it really was just a rainy day…”he whispered
But deep down,he knew something about today felt different.
