All must come to an end...

Jenna's POV: Our lips never left each other's comfort until opening and closing doors could be heard again.  Then, Alonzo swiftly stood up and put the handcuffs back on to simulate nothing had happened, leaving me to walk freely around his cell. Another set of doors moving met my ears and I realized it came from the adjoining room.  After giving him a confused look, I slowly walked toward a small opening on the wall and brought myself to be on my tiptoes to see who was on the other end. The whole cell looked way smaller than Alonzo's, but was nice nonetheless. A couple of guards could be seen in there along with an inmate lying on the bed. I couldn't see him properly given he was facing the wall, so I was left with a view of his back only.  His blonde hair though... well, it resembled so much of a hair I had grown to love at some point of my life. A hair that belonged to... nah, it couldn't be. Turning around, I see Alonzo looking straight at me with an intense expression, clearly not liking me staring at another guy. "Would you look at that!", I exclaimed dramatically while putting a hand on my heart. "Here I thought you'd be staring at my ass, but instead you're being eaten by your feelings". His face still stoic as hell showed a bit of amusement, one that was covered up quickly after a small cough. "I don't know what you're talking about", he said while averting my eyes in nervousness. I slowly walked behind his chair and crouched behind him while putting my arms around his back.  Getting my lips closer to his ear, I then whisper while suppressing a laugh.  "Want some peanut butter for that jelly?" I asked him. —————————————————————————— Alonzo's POV: Yeah, I'd rather her believe I was jealous of her watching that other inmate instead of knowing I was indeed, looking at her ass. For the resting time we had together, we talked about nothing and everything, and I managed to make her laugh every once in a while, which I'm quite proud of. By the time the guard arrived to signal we only had ten more minutes until visiting time was over, I wasn't feeling blue anymore, but was actually overly excited to get this over with and skip time five years forward so that we could be together, outside in the real world. "Alonzo", I heard her quietly whisper. Looking up to her I noticed she was looking straight at me with a stone cold face. "Do you think you will manage to feel peace at some point?", she asked me. "I mean, do you think we'll ever be happy?" Letting myself wonder into oblivion, I let a deep sigh escape my lips before answering what came to mind. "Honestly Jenna, I have no idea. Life is all about the ups and down, although for us it's more of the later", I said, making us both chuckle for our misery. "Peace is a hard thing to find, even harder than love. But if you want me to be brutally honest farfalla, I'd have to say I do believe we could be happy... together. As for the 'peace' portion... Well I can't promise our life along each other will be perfect, but at least we can be sure it'll be honest and heartfelt.  You might want to kill me one day and the same goes for me, but I'd never give up on something like this", I signaled pointing at the both of us with my index finger. "You may make me feel angry, jealous, frustrated or even sad in the future, but none of that will matter farfalla, because you make me feel happy, and that gives me peace". Her satisfied smile made my insides warm up, knowing I'd said exactly what she needed to hear. - The dreaded moment finally arrived when a tall and slim guard showed up, asking Jenna to accompany him out of my cell. She stood up with a little jump and clapped her hands together, a smile still grazing her lips. "Well, that's it I guess. All must come to an end... except for 'Gray's Anatomy', that show will never end", she said enthusiastically, mumbling the last part to herself. I chuckled at her nonsense.  I'm still trying to figure out how on earth I'm going to survive the next five years without her, but I know this is for the best.  I'll come back for her and be the man I know she deserves. I watched her slowly make her way towards the door, but before exiting, she turned around and gave me a soft smile. "See you when the time's right", she spoke, giving me a wink. That being said, she turned around and left, leaving me alone in my own prison.  Not the place, but the mind. I truly wasn't upset though, I know she can handle this, just how I know I'll come for her at some point. I trust her out there. She may look vulnerable, but she really isn't.  There's a strength in her that I now will prevent her from getting screwed over.  I just hope her kind heart doesn't get in the way. Little did I know, she had purposely left her heart in my hands before walking off into the outside world. "See you when the time's right, farfalla", I too whispered with a smile.
