The morning was heavy, as if the sky itself hesitated to open its eyes to what was happening inside.
Malek sat on the ornate chair in the center of the living room, his features stern, wearing the expression and aura of the late Minister Fouad El-Shenawy — calm, cold, and commanding.
Across from him sat Daniel, embodying the role of Radi the driver, trying to appear obedient and composed, though unease flickered in his eyes.
Before them stood the black dog, its body tense, tail still, staring straight into Malek’s eyes with a haunting gaze — a mixture of loyalty and menace — as if it still remembered the scent of death that once filled this place.
