Scene 1 – Entering the Apartment and the Shadow of Little Shams Al-Duhur
Mohamed and Suzanne stood in front of the apartment door, their breaths ragged from the long walk and exhausting journey through the city. Behind them, the shadow of little Shams Al-Duhur followed, now a constant presence wherever they went, like a living shadow moving with them unseen, gliding with the lightness and speed of a child older than his apparent age, yet his green eyes sparkled with a strange vitality, radiating a mysterious glow.
