Behind the wheel sat the eerie mannequin that looked exactly like Shadi, positioned in a disturbingly human posture. Its waxen face gleamed under the pale sunlight, while a broad yellow tape encircled the car, boldly marked: “DO NOT CROSS – POLICE INVESTIGATION.”
