SELENE “You have wallowed enough, Selene.” I muttered to myself as I sat up one morning, pushing the covers off me like it was suffocating me. It had been a week, a whole damn week, and Tristan still had not come to talk to me. I did not care what he was avoiding or what excuses he had, but this silence was not just hurting me. It was tearing us both apart. And if there was even a chance left to fix it, I had to try. We needed to talk, and we needed to do it now. Everytime a knock sounded on the door, I would feel myself getting my hopes up although I knew it was just one of the maids bringing in my food, but I could not stop myself from thinking, maybe it's Tristan this time…maybe he's finally ready to talk….
