I swallowed hard, suddenly exhausted although I was a bit happy for the distraction Tibet brought from my thoughts.
“I'm fine Tibet. I'm the alpha, it's my job to protect the pack.”
“That’s bullshit,” he snapped. “You do not get to play the martyr and think that protects the rest of us. You are our Alpha, if something happens to you, the pack would fall apart.”
“Tibet…” I stared at him for a few seconds, and for the first time in days, I allowed myself to be truly vulnerable.
