" Good morning little sis " , I said to my little sister , Charmaine , 7 years old , she was in the bathroom already , she knows how to prepare herself but she lets me do it for her , I guess she noticed that I love doing it for her and being the bigger sister
" hey big sis , how are you ? " , she answered back
" I am great , let's get you ready for school , how does that sound ? " , I asked her cheerfully
" yay , are you going to do my hair ? , I already brushed my teeth and washed my face " , she said , jumping up and down quite happily
" okay , let's get you in a tub and after a bath , I'll do your hair , you are quite jolly , did you make friends ? "
" Yes , I met a girl named Salsa and we are good friends, Can you make it in a ponytail ? " she requested and went on and on , telling me about her new friend , while I gave her a bath , and she told me what they did yesterday at school and that she can't wait to be with her again
" a ponytail it is " , I replied after she told me everything about her friend
" Yay !!!! " , I was done giving my sister a bath and did her hair into a ponytail and I took a bath myself and did my make up for the first time , I bought it a while back hoping to apply it for when I get invited to parties and stuff , yeah , I know right , I am not even popular , but I was gonna put it today for no reason at all , hahaha funny , right ? , I dressed her in a floral yellow dress and yellow pumps and I wore a yellow crop shirt and a yellow mini skirt with yellow sneakers, my little sister liked matching colors , we then went downstairs for breakfast and found mom in the kitchen.
" hey girls , how are you this morning ? " , my mom asked , everyone looks cheerful today
" we are good mom , you are in such a good mood compared to yesterday " , I teased
" Diana , don't ruin it " she looked at me with a deathly glare.
" okay mom , I was only teasing , where is dad ? " , I asked looking around to find him
" Right here ! " my dad shouted from the dining area , I went and joined him while my sister stayed with mom
" How is my little girl doing ? ", dad said smiling
" Dad , I am not little anymore, Charmaine is " I said , a little embarrassed, " hey , you are also my little girl until you find yourself some dude who will marry you out of my house " , immediately when my dad said that , my mom choked out loud that my dad stood up in a hurry and went to check on my mom , " honey , what's wrong ? , is it something I said or you choked on breakfast ? " , my dad asked , worry plastered on his face
" nothing honey , just don't encourage her , she already saw a boy yesterday " , I face palmed myself , you can always count on mom to keep a secret , I'm kidding , don't ! .
" WHAT ? ! " my dad shouted , " who is he , I'm gonna kill him ! " , he came back to the dining area and sat next to me , " well ? , explain yourself young miss " , he looked at me , waiting and tapping his foot on the floor
" it's nothing dad , mom and Mason are exaggerating " , I uttered that before stopping myself , " who said anything about Mason ? " , dad asked , confused
" I ... uh ... I , I got to go , I am running late for school " , I said , standing up and taking my bag , I hurried out before anyone could stop me for a lecture
" hey ! , we are not done talking young lady " , dad shouted from where he was
" Diana , you haven't eaten your breakfast and you still have 20 minutes ! " , mom shouted behind me
" thanks mom , really , thanks ! " I replied and scurried away to the bus station . I waited in the bus station for almost 30 minutes and it showed up , I got inside and saw my best friend Aggy , I am not really popular , so I just went straight to her while others minded their own business.
" hey best friend ! " , I said cheerfully ,
" hey girl , how are you ? ! " , Aggy replied back
" I am good , yourself ? " I said blushing
" ookaaayyyyy , yeah , you are obviously good , who is it ? " , she asked with an eyebrow up , eagerly waiting for me to answer
" I don't know his name " I said truly
" what ?! , girl , tell me you are kidding me , were you really that flustered to not even ask for a name ?! " , she said to me , a bit shocked
" hey , no judging okay ? ! , it all happened in a hurry " , I said , looking away
" okay , sooo ? " , she asked me , gesturing her hands questionly
" what ? " , I asked , obviously aware of what she was going to ask
" when are you guys meeting again ? " , she asked , haha , not surprised
" today , after school " , I replied , I was blushing just thinking about him , I was in love
" am I going to see him ? " , she asked , taking me out of my dreamy state
" no " , I said blushing , just as she was about to talk , the bus' bell rang , " we will continue this soon , I ain't done with you " , she said as we stood up to leave the bus and headed straight to class.
It was now the last period and I couldn't wait for the bell to ring so I could meet with , you know who ... the bell rang and I sprung out of my chair and ran to the bus stop , the bus was already waiting and when I got inside , Aggy was not on the bus and I felt a little relieved that she was not going to pester me about what we talked about earlier . The bus finally came to my stop and he was waiting for me right there at the bus station , I am sure by this time my smile was starting from my right ear to my left ear , I was flustered . I went off the bus and he reached out to me for me to give him my bag.
" hey beautiful " , he said
" hey " , I was a blushing mess , I know
" how are you and how was your day ? " , he asked
" it was great , how was yours ? " , I replied , now composed
" it was super , can I walk you home again ? " , he asked
" sure , but first I need to know if you are not going to kidnap me " , I said with a questioning look
" kidnap you ? " he asked amazed
" yeah , I mean ... you haven't told me your name at all till now " , he looked relieved
" ohh , I am Duncan , and you are ? "
" Diana . " , I answered with the blush back on , Duncan was a lovely name , D and D , haha
" Diana , that is a beautiful name , like it's owner " , this guy was going to kill me with his words , I would die blushing .
" thank you " , I replied , I was now out of words , besides , there was nothing I could say , when is he asking me out ? , I asked myself .
