Love after Marriage.

The loud ring from the alarm just abrupted Lily's wonderful sleep. All she wanted to do was to continue and kept on dreaming. She grabbed the pillow and covered her head so she won't hear it anymore. The ring was so unbearable. She saw the reason why her father bought it for her. She quickly stretched her hand and hit the button. The ring came to an abrupt stop. Lily stretched her hands in the air and sprung up from the bed, heading to the bathroom. It was another day in that death trap called school. She hurriedly took a shower and got ready for school. She grabbed her phone and school bag and head out of her room. There she met her warm breakfast waiting for her, together with a sticker note. "Make sure to eat before leaving for school. Love mom" lily murmured as she grabbed an apple from the tray. It was just scrambled egg and toast. Nothing much was added to it. They didn't have much to eat. Lily stuffed it into a nylon and carried it with her to school. She got to school and the first person she met was her charming boyfriend. He sighted her and walked towards her, wrapping his arms around her. "Here's my cupcake" he chanted. Lily covered her face shyly and raised her head to stare back at him. "How was your night?" He asked her as they both walked towards her locker. "It was great, thank you" she replied. "Do you have any plans for tonight? We could spend the night together" he spoke softly, trailing his finger up her sleeve. Lily didn't like him touching her in front of everyone. She slowly brushed off his hand from her body and turned to her locker. She grabbed her breakfast and books and slammed the locker close. "So, you are just going to say the usual answer. No?" Miguel asked her. "Listen Miguel. I know I've been a horrible girlfriend to you but trust me. It's not my fault. I'm just not ready for..." "It's fine. Just go to class. See you later" he said and left. Lily sighed deeply and left to her class. She had Miguel in her mind all day. She couldn't even concentrate in class but she had to. If she fail any class, they'll have to withdraw her scholarship. So she shook him off her mind and decided to focus in class. . Mrs Maybelline got out of her luxurious car after the butler opened it widely for her. She took off her sunglasses and looked round the mansion. Her son's car was still in the compound. "Where is he?" She asked the butler. "He's in his room ma'am" he replied with a slight bow. Mrs Maybelline hummed and head into the mansion. She slowly climbed the stairs and head to her son's room. It was a very huge mansion mostly decorated with gold. She gave a soft knock on the door. "Who is it?" Her son's voice followed. "White?" She called out. There was a little silence before the door flickered and went open. She saw a towel wrapped on her son's waist and his hair was dripping wet. "Mom? Why are you here?" He asked. "Aren't I allowed to come in?" She asked. "Mind my manners, come in mom" he said and pushed the door wide open. Immediately his mother walked in, he closed the door behind. "I'm just coming from a business meeting with the CEO of Princeton's Company" she said. "I don't have anything to do with them" he replied, drying his hair. Mrs Maybelline walked to her son and placed her hand on his shoulder. He dropped the towel he was using to dry his hair and stared back at his mother, giving her a questioning look. "You know we need more business partners before our project can be carried out. He has agreed to become partners with us..." White didn't let his mother finish before he interrupted. "That's great news. I have other business meeting today also" he added. "But..." At the mention of but, White's smile disappeared. "What now?" He asked with an unusual smile on his face. "You have to get married to his daughter" she said. The condition hit him hard like a thunderstorm. He took two steps away from his mother. "You want me to get married to Lucy Princeton. She's not my type and I don't want to" he said angrily. "Come on White, it has to start with a gradual process. Date her first and get to know her also. You'll see that she isn't a bad person" Mrs Maybelline said, trying to convince her son. But everything fell on deaf ears. There was no way he could get married to Lucy. He remembered how she threw herself on him during the last reception they had. She is not fit to be called lady. "I have a meeting in an hour time. I don't want to be late mom" White said and left to his closet. Mrs Maybelline gave a loud sigh and folded her arms. "You'll have to get married to her no matter what" she murmured. . . The class was going on when the regular late comer in the class walked in. "Miss Lucy Princeton, I hope you are fully aware that class start 8am and here you are walking majestically into the class by 10:47am" the teacher said angrily. This was not her first time nor her second time. Lucy stopped and turned to face the teacher. "It's not my fault you know. I went in a business meeting with my father and..." As she spoke, Lily placed her head on the table with frustration. She was enjoying the class before Lucy interrupted everything. Now, she was bragging about how rich her father is. "So, that's what happened. If you want to punish anyone, let it be my father and not me" she concluded and went to her seat. She threw her long hair to the back and sat comfortably. Lily stared at her over her shoulder and rolled it back to the teacher who was still angry and confused. "Let's continue from where we stopped. Lily read the next paragraph please" . . After having his business meeting with his partners, White was happy that they didn't make any stupid condition like getting married to any of them daughter. He went back to his company to continue with some work. They had a huge project come very soon. He majestically walked into the company with his assistant behind him. "You have to sign here and here and.. finally here" his assistant, Corrie said. He grabbed the papers and signed them. "I need a glass of water in my office" he said. "Yes sir" Corrie gave a slight bow and left to get him the glass of water. As he walked towards the elevator, he sighted one of the cleaners. She was very weak. She dropped the mop she was holding and sat on the chair. It was like she was sick. He wanted to take a step, wanting to help her but he stopped himself and pushed the elevator button. His eyes was still on the weak cleaner. The elevator door slide open and he walked in and pushed the button again. . White walked into his huge glass office and took off his suit jacket. He hung it and sat comfortably on the chair, spinning slowly. That was when Corrie walked in with a glass of water. "Here you go sir" she placed it before him. "Thank you, you may go" he replied without stealing any glance from him. No matter how hard she tried to seduce him, he was never looking at her direction. She fummed and left his office. What his mother said suddenly popped up in his mind again. He drew himself closer to his desk and started hitting hard on the keyboard, searching for Lucy Princeton. Her beautiful picture appeared on the net. She was also known by the internet. He snorted and scrolled down, reading everything about her. He hissed and moved away from his computer. He couldn't bring himself to date her not to talk to getting married to her. He decided to work than thinking about her. . . During lunch, Lucy didn't let anyone be at peace because of the business meeting she went with her father. "What is it all about?" One of her friend asked her. Lily also had to listen. She ate her breakfast as she listened. The food she was supposed to eat in the morning. "I don't know yet. I just saw my dad with the woman. I joined them for some minutes and started coming over to school. The woman liked me already. She said that she was going to make me get married to her son" The other girls gasped and started screaming. "Congratulations Lucy" one of them said. I couldn't bear the noise anymore. I left the classroom. "Who is he?" "You won't believe if I told you" she replied. The girls drew their ears closer to listen to who it was. "White Donald" Lucy squealed happily. "Shut up! What the...?" They gasped again.
