6 As he was flung repeatedly from one side of the trunk to the other, Todd was sure Mitch was hitting every bump and pothole along the way on purpose. He could picture his brother cackling with glee each time, and his ex-wife was probably enjoying it too. More than a few times, his head hit the trunk lid, making him yelp in pain. There was no doubt the others could hear him when he did because he could hear them talking through the thin wall between him and the inside of the car.
