Chapter 52

1681 Words
"Why do you think I would want to never come back?" asked Khayun. "Just a assumption, living as someone else with your soul as your own could be quite difficult in circumstances." said Dr Sayeed. "You think the life I had living inside Tim is any better than what I have right now?" asked Khayun. "I didn't mean it like that Khayun, what I told was, Tim was.. a friend to you, to say at the least, when friends depart from you permanently, most people in that situation would rather like to move on past with their loss, and in your case, you are fated to live the life of the very person you've lost, which is rather I might say, a tragic and saddened fate." said Dr Sayeed. "For a human you mean, but I'm not one, it was Tim's decision to kill himself, not mine, now I have to live his life whilst living my own, which is rather I might say, grows my hatred for him further than my friendly relationship with him, and in a way, being Tim to the outside world does crap the s**t out of me, but given how things turned out to be, I would say the life I had earlier is a hell hole compared to what I had now." said Khayun. "Remarkable." said Dr Sayeed. "What?" asked Khayun. "I never knew Jinns were capable of tragic emotions such as guilt, anger, sadness." said Dr Sayeed. "I'm not guilty of having Tim killed himself, yes, it does piss me to live as him whilst living here, but as long as it does its job, I'm fine with it." said Khayun. "I see." said Dr Sayeed. "Yes, and as for the job offer, I'll think about it, I'm not guaranteeing a yes, okay?" asked Khayun. "I understand." said Dr Sayeed. "Thank you for your session doc, if you don't mind, I have to take my leave now." said Khayun as he prepares himself to depart. After having heard from Dr Sayeed's proposal on his job offer, Khayun departs from his house back to his car as Timothy Blake where Uncle Rafai awaits. "So, how did it go?" asked Rafai. "Well enough, and.. we need to talk about something." said Khayun. "About what?" asked Rafai. "It's best if I tell with both of you present " said Khayun. "Oh.. okay, sure." said Rafai as she drives. Meanwhile, within Afreen's house where things have resolved peacefully given previous events that took place, with both her cousin and her cousin's mother being afraid of sending out her again, they decided to keep a watchful eye in case if things goes wrong whilst Afreen on the other hand is frustrated about staying inside the house since the moment she got here. "Come on, I get it, about what happened earlier freaked you guys out, but staying in here isn't going to make things better, I wanna leave somewhere." said Afreen. "No Afreen, you don't understand, this isn't like Canada, here it is much more dangerous to be out in the streets, especially for a woman." said Nailah. "Well.. I don't see any guys with guns through the balcony, and Canada wasn't safe to say at least, it had its own set of problems, same as here, I can understand, which is why I'm telling you, I can handle it." said Afreen. "Just wait for a week or two, once my husband gets here, we can find a suitable way to pass your free time dear." said Naliah's mother. "But I'm bored, what could I do here for one whole week?" asked Afreen. "There are plenty of things to do actually, you can help with Madhat's homework, or help my mom with the cooking." said Nailah. "Kitchen isn't my cup of tea, and Madhat's been freaked out about me, since the moment of that incident, trust me, I'll scare her to death if I ever step in her room again." said Afreen. "Not just her, it scared all of us, had you known how you reacted like that, you've would have scared too." said Nailah. "Listen, the moment thing right now, is to focus on things you cherish, like the people from the mosque said, you're not fully cured, physically, you might be okay, but there more that states to the mind." said Nailah's mother. "I'm telling you, I'm fine, my mind is better actually, super, super peaceful now, please, I can't stay here anymore, I'm bored, I feel trapped." said Afreen. "I understand dear, it is hard, but the important thing you must understand is that..." said Nailah's mother before getting interrupted by Afreen. "Please don't repeat it again, I'm tired of this conversation too." said Afreen. "Just for a week, it's all we ask, if we bore you so much, why don't you go spend time with your brother, he hasn't spoken a word to us since that night." said Nailah. "Wait what? why?" asked Afreen. "He's upset dear, seeing you get affected that much, it traumatizes people like that, especially to the ones who are close to you." said Nailah's mother. "First of all, my brother isn't close with me, alright, he hasn't barely spoken a word to me since like... I don't know, forever, yeah, we never had any type of bonding for a while." said Afreen. "Which is why, you're here now, together, you can bond, have a brother sister time." said Nailah. "Well.. what about Cousin sister time instead then? and what exactly am I supposed to do with this time?" asked Afreen. "Well, right now I have online sessions to attend, but I'm sure we can come up with something to play tomorrow, I promise, but for right now, please, have at least a talk with your brother, both of us are worried about him." said Nailah. "Okay, fine, I'll talk, geez, thank you, you just made my boring vacation boring than ever." said Afreen as she heads upstairs towards Ali's room to which she knocks. "Who is it?" asked Ali. "Hey, Ali, it's me." said Afreen. "What do you want?" asked Ali. "Nothing, I just wanted to check up on you, come on man, we haven't spoken in a while." said Afreen. "Go away." said Ali. "That's.. usually my dialogue, but I don't care, come on, please, step out of your room and enjoy the sun, or clouds, considering its very cloudy today." said Afreen to which no response comes at first, until suddenly the door lock opens and Ali steps out of the room with a numb face. "Hey there, little champ, how's it going?" asked Afreen. "What's your deal? one minute, all you say is piss off, now you wanna bond?" asked Ali. "Hey, language." said Afreen. "English, it's mostly used in talking, anyway, I don't know what happened to you downstairs, but if you ask my tip, Madhat.." said Ali before getting interrupted by Afreen. "Is freaked out about me, I know, I was wondering if you could help me with that?" asked Afreen. "How exactly will I do that?" asked Ali. "I don't know, aren't you the family genius? if anyone can figure out stuff, it's you, it's my baby genius brother.." said Afreen. "I think I have a idea, come on." said Ali. Soon, both Afreen and Ali proceed on with their plan to impress Madhat who stands lonely in her room. Suddenly, as she attempts to read her book, a sudden tune of her favourite cartoon is played throughout her room to which she becomes both confused, then just as she looks around, the very costumed cartoon character appears in front of her room to which she is both stunned. "Hello there dear, do you know who am I?" asked the costumed cartoon character. "I know, I know, fairy godmother." said Madhat. "Yes, in deed, I am, and for that, I would like to give you a small gift." said the costumed cartoon character as she offers a wrapped gift to Madhat which she starts unpacking until it turns out to be a thick box which she opens and finds it shocking. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe it, thank you." said Madhat as she unveils a dress within the box, similar to how the character of her cartoon is. "This is a small gift for you, and and as all gifts, it has a small price." said the costumed character. "What?" asked Madhat. "One of my dear friend is sad and upset about you being separated from her, she likes you so much, they having her without you broke her heart." said the costumed character. "Who is it?" asked Madhat. "Before telling who it is, promise me one thing, that you will be always be a faithful friend to her, like the good girl, you've always been, can you?" asked the costumed cartoon character. "Yes, I promise, I can be, now, who is it?" asked Madhat to which the costumed cartoon character builds up its entrance until it takes off its headpiece, revealing to be Afreen. "Tada, it's me." said Afreen with a smile to which Madhat's pleasant face turns into a horrified one, as she starts screaming upon seeing her face, completely frightened. "Hey, Madhat, it's me, why are you?" asked Afreen as Ali too arrives out of a rush. "Get away from me, get away from me, go away, please! go away!" cried Madhat to which both Afreen and Ali's face turned upset. "Okay, abort the mission, abort the mission now, go!" said Ali citing Afreen to go. "But, I wasn't trying to.." said Afreen. "I said go now!" yelled Ali to which Afreen leaves away with a saddened look as he meets Nashat who came down running after hearing the noise. "What the hell is going on here? why is she screaming?" asked Nashat. "I don't know, at once she saw me..." said Afreen right before Nashat storms into the room to check on her while Afreen leaves away heartbroken to be viewed as a monster by her own cousin.
