Chapter 51

1725 Words
A week has passed since the events of the last chapter whereas Khayun in the name of Timothy Blake has extended his stay for another month after having excused from both his family from Canada as well as in Ceylan. After waiting for one whole week of not getting a response from Jessica, other than the usual response to wait until further instructions, Khayun finally manages to convince himself to go visit Dr Sayeed Hussain as he predicted before. As he got himself ready and almost prepares to depart, his uncle Rafai is concerned on where exactly he is going. "I told you, I met this doctor, he gave me this address." said Khayun. "I see, but other than that, you don't know him, I take it?" asked Rafai. "What do you mean?" asked Khayun. "Things aren't safe here as they are in Canada putha, kids get missing from time to time, a week ago a girl went missing as well, close to this address." said Rafai. "And this happened in broad daylight?" asked Khayun. "No, more like in the night but.." said Rafai before getting interrupted by Khayun. "Look, uncle, I appreciate your concern, but I can handle myself, I've dealt with a lot more, trust me, I got this." said Khayun. "Uh... okay, but wait, let me get dressed as well." said Rafai. "Why are you getting dressed?" asked Khayun. "I'm coming with you, if it bothers you that much, I'll wait by the car, okay?" asked Rafai. "Urgh.. fine, I do need a ride now I have to walk, and speaking of, why are you wearing a weirdly designed skirt? is this a fashion choice or something?" asked Khayun. "No putha, this is my nightdress, it's called sarongs, none of the westerners wear it, but quite comfy you know?" asked Rafai. "You're wearing nightdress in daylight? why?" asked Khayun. "It's.. nevermind, let me get dressed." said Rafai. "Alright, I'll wait by the car. Soon, as Khayun waits by the car, he goes on to call Afreen since his incident prior, but deep down, something seem to bother him from reaching her as he shuns down his phone and gets on the vehicle. Soon, he takes the call to Agent Jessica herself who's line is quite busy at the moment to which he sends a message and lies at his seat as Rafai arrives with properly dressed. Meanwhile, as they go, Khayun reaches out to Dr Sayeed Hussain whom unlike others picks up immediately after call. "Dr Hussain." said Sayeed through the phone. "Hey, doc, it's me Kn.. I mean Tim, we spoke about a matter earlier, how about we.." said Khayun before getting interrupted by Dr Sayeed Hussain. "Of course, sure, come by my address, we'll speak more." said Sayeed as he ends the call out of a sudden. "And they call me weird." said Khayun as he lies his phone down. "So, Tim, how's everything going for you? do you like Ceylan?" asked Rafai. "Well.. I don't know, ever since I've got here, it's been lockdown after lockdown due to the pandemic." said Khayun. "I understand, there was never any kind of issue when me and your mother were young, there were.." said Rafai before getting silenced by Khayun. "Yeah, bright sunlight, no harmful effects on weather, happily ever after, can you just concentrate on the driving?" asked Khayun to which Rafai finds his response to be rude and upsetting to him, but regardless he puts on a smile and keeps on driving with a nod As they reach towards Dr Sayeed's House which is plush and luxurious rather than to his terribly maintained asylum. Khayun gets out of the car and begins to rush out of the vehicle as soon as possible. "Tim!" yelled Rafai to which he stops and returns back to him. "Take care, okay?" asked Rafai. "Noted." said Khayun as he turns back towards the house and walks while Rafai is met with a uncertainty on pleasing his nephew or not. As soon as he reaches the door, before he could knock, the door opens by itself which Khayun finds it confused since he sensed no kind of magic flowing through the air. "Come in Tim, through the hall please." said a electronic voice through the house. "Weird." said Khayun as he steps inside and walks towards the hall where he comes across Dr Sayeed Hussain himself who researches in something rather important within his laptop on the dining table. "Dr Sayeed?" asked Khayun. "Take a seat Tim, let me get this over with." said Dr Sayeed to which Khayun seats within the sofa nearby as he finds the dining table full of various miscellaneous stuffs. "There, that's done." said Dr Sayeed as he drops down his laptop and approaches Khayun towards the sofa. "Greetings Khayun, I'm glad you've came of visit.' said Dr Sayeed. "Was gonna come sooner, had it not been for.. the lockdown or something? I don't know, none of which what the government does in this country makes sense." said Khayun to which Sayeed chuckles. "You're not wrong about that one, and please, if it suits you, think of this as a safe place, a comfortable one to be who you are, rather than whom you're supposed to be." said Dr Sayeed. "Okay fine (changes into his own human appearance) this okay?" asked Khayun. "I meant your true appearance Khayun, but if it bothers you.." said Dr Sayeed before getting interrupted by Khayun when he changes to his original form. "Happy now?" asked Khayun. "Marvellous.. a remarkable specimen." said Dr Sayeed. "If you're finished fancying me, perhaps we can get down to business, starting with the job, I need one." said Khayun. "And why is that? from what I've heard, you're quite as wealthy as me here." said Dr Sayeed. "I meant me, not Tim, and for Tim, that isn't exactly true, his mother did save enough money to build a big a*s house, but not enough as expected in his bank account." said Khayun. "And you're not fond of asking your uncle, I'm sorry, his uncle, for expenses I take it?" asked Dr Sayeed. "You've read my mind doc, now speaking of which, do you have a job for me?" asked Khayun. "I do, in fact, but it requires, let's say some, secrecy, unlike the missions you've faced before." said Dr Sayeed. "I'm listening." said Khayun. "A week ago, a girl named Nadja Hassan has gone missing, have you heard?" asked Dr Sayeed. "Yeah, it was all over the news for about a week, then people moved back to their stuffs." said Khayun. "And what if I say you, the very reason people ignored this very incident, was because of them indebt cover up." said Dr Sayeed. "What do you mean?" asked Khayun to which Dr Sayeed turns his laptop and plays out the video showing a security footage of how Nadja was attacked and pauses the exact point where the Naga is visible clear as possible. "Is that a naga?" asked Khayun. "It was, and that's the only footage right now available to the world right now of his existence, other than what Jessica briefed to you, I'm afraid." said Dr Sayeed. "So, a Naga attacked a young girl, they cover it up immediately to draw unwanted attention, but why?" asked Khayun. "That's the million dollar question, and furthermore, I'm beginning to think that this attack, isn't just a random incident after all." said Dr Sayeed. "You think?" asked Khayun. "Well, it's just a theory, but Nadja's entire records before past year filled of no viable supernatural records, it was as clean as every other teenager can be, but, current year, where she joined this institute (shows a slideshow of the website for the institution which Nadja said goodbye to before leaving) that is." said Dr Sayeed. "Ayntec Educational Centre? what kind of institution is this?" asked Khayun. "Just a regular one, with all clean records but.. ever since Nadja joined this particular institution, many of her data records were.. misplaced from the view of others." said Dr Sayeed. "But how can you say this particular institution has a Naga relation to it?" asked Khayun. "Well, after searching through obtained records from their websites, most of the students who recently joined in on this institution, have had supernatural matters shortly after graduating from it, my hypothesis is that, some type of supernatural cult hiding within this institution is behind it." said Dr Sayeed. "Well, if you're so sure about the supernatural cult within this place, why don't you tear it down? or just properly equipped agents, you usually have?" asked Khayun. "Well, tearing down this place, would bring it right back to where it started, the cult behind this would likely escape and as for sending agents, I might have send a few agents posing in as Teachers, so far, they're not able to get a single clue on what's going in there, but if I was able to send a agent from student side, let's say someone capable of handling themselves when dealt with threats, perhaps matters could be solved delicately and as for you, you would have likely completed your mission even before Jessica ever gave you one." said Dr Sayeed. "Kind of makes sense, still.. I don't think blending in is my best type of suite, it was more Timothy's job to do that." said Khayun. "What I require during my job, is no official incident, hence if one or two things could go wrong, I would likely turn a blind eye, if you know what I mean." said Dr Sayeed. "You're gonna regret saying that." said Khayun. "I've studied the biology of Jinn my entire life Tim, I know about their nature to react towards violence.. I even came across a woman who used a power of one Jinn to destroy another." said Dr Sayeed. "And where is she now?" asked Khayun. "It's.. complicated, and I don't want to waste much of my time, as well as yours, my job is simple, go to this institute posing in as student, find out what you can about the existence of Nagas and how it relates to Nadja's murder, and once you're briefed enough tell, you can head home and never come again if you like." said Dr Sayeed.
