Chapter 47

Meanwhile, moments before Khayun sets out his journey as Tim through the Van, Afreen and her cousins along with her own brother get onboard to the taxi they've been ordered to go in.

As they drive through the road, Afreen slowly starts to feel uneasy, with her headaches and her hands burning from within again, but since it is within a car which seems to be overcrowd since Nailah had ordered a small taxi, Afreen struggles on how to proceed, with a hesitancy and scared, she copes herself, trying to calm herself, as they head on their journey.

"Damnit, why did you order such a small taxi, I can barely move in here." said Ali. "It was the only one available, and it looked large in the photos, I didn't know it would be this small." said Nailah. "Settle down, you're taking Madhat up." said Nashat who seats beside the driver, carrying Madhat in his lap.

"Easy for you to say, I feel like I'm being squashed." said Ali. "Feeling's mutual, look at your sister, she understands and is being quiet about it, why can't you?" asked Nailah. "First of all, Afreen is never quiet, she always complains about everything, I don't know what's wrong with her now." said Ali.

"Nothing's wrong with me, I'm just tired, that's all." said Afreen when suddenly the driver who seems to have grown frustrated about them driving starts yelling back in his native tongue to which Naliah too responses calmy within the same languages.

"What language is that? seems like you're red Indian or something?" asked Ali. "Ali, please, shut up." said Afreen when suddenly her eyes start burning in invisible flame to which she covers it immediately with her hands. "Shut me up? wait, are you crying?" asked Ali. "No, just.. leave me alone." said Afreen. "Ali, she misses her home, I told you Afreen, you didn't need to come, you could have stayed there, If you had listened to us." said Nailah.

"Guys, please, you're waking Madhat up, just chill, alright?" asked Nashat. "Okay, fine, sorry, but really? are you crying right now?" asked Ali. "No! I am not, just.. leave me alone!" screams Afreen as she reveals a demonic face, burning with invisible flame to which Afreen herself wakes up, horrified when she finds herself back in the airport where they're just about to get on the same taxi, they got aboard earlier.

"Hey! what's wrong with you?" asked Ali. "Uhm... what happened? where are we?" asked Afreen. "Did you just blackout or something? we're in the airport, come on, the taxi had arrived." said Ali as he heads forth. "No! I mean, no, that looks small." said Afreen. "It is, we have no choice, just come on." said Ali as he drags her hand towards the taxi where the others have got aboard.

"What took you guys long?" asked Nailah.

"Afreen doesn't like the taxi or something, just come on." said Ali who forces her to get in the taxi and they see out their journey, despite Afreen's continuous struggle to make them stop somewhere. "Please, let's just.. let's stop somewhere, we can grab a rest, then proceed." said Afreen. "The sooner we can reach come, the better, I know it's hard, but you just have to hold on Afreen, it's our only option." said Nailah. "Maybe she wants to go with her boyfriend maybe, she can't bother lose thought of him." said Nashat.

"Nashat, quiet, let your sister sleep." said Afreen. "Yeah, Nashat, let her sleep, what is wrong with you?" asked Ali. "I didn't.. you know what? whatever, just.. stay quiet alright?" asked Nashat. "You first." said Ali. "Okay, fine." said Nashat as the car falls into continuous silence to which the driver then starts turning on the radio which bursts out a song, irritating them both, and waking up Madhat. "What the hell? what is that?" asked Ali who shuts his ears due to the noise it makes while Nashat and Nailah are yelling at the driver to stop it, while he is yelling back.

This makes Madhat cry which causes further noise to which Afreen ultimately loses her hold and almost lashes out, but instead of her, Ali bursts out in a demonic face to which both of them wake him back at the airport shocked. "What just happened?" asked Ali in shock as she stands still while Afreen is confused to understand what happened.

"Wait did you.. you remember?" asked Afreen. "I.. that taxi, we went in there and then.." said Ali in confusion to which Afreen snaps him out of it. "Listen to me, there is something wrong, at first I thought it was me, but this is something else." said Afreen. "What do you mean?" asked Ali when the taxi horns to which they turn and find Nashat and Nailah calling out to them to hurry up.

"They don't remember?" asked Ali.

"They don't, Ali, I've been through this two times, at first it was me, but then, each time someone loses their temper, they burst out, and then, we're here.." said Afreen. "Like final destination?" asked Ali. "Final what?" asked Afreen. "Guys, come on, we need to go." said Nashat from the taxi.

"Okay, listen to me, we're gonna go, and remain quiet as possible alright? do not lash out, not until we reach home." said Afreen. "Uhm.. okay, I guess, I'm still confused about this." said Ali. "Then stay that way, do not lose your s**t, understand, now come on." said Afreen who leads her brother this time and just as before, they head into the taxi, only with this time, Afreen sits beside the driver, carrying Madhat in her lap while the rest of them are behind. "I can't stand it anymore, stop the taxi now, Afreen! give me that seat." said Nashat.

"No, We can't stop now, just.. hold it, okay? till we reach our destination." said Nailah. "Easy for you to say, I can't stand it anymore, I need space." said Nashat. "Look at Ali and Afreen, Nashat, why can't you be like them?" asked Nailah. "Please, both of you, calm down, don't lose it." said Afreen.

"Lose what? I'm already losing everything." said Nashat as Afreen sighs, not knowing what to do next. Suddenly, as they go, the driver reaches out to the radio which is noticed by Afreen to which she reaches first, and burns out the radio before he could turn it on. The driver attempts to try to turn it on as the flames used by Afreen was mirrored and was unable to be seen. After giving a few tries, he lets go and continue onwards whilst Nailah and Nashat are still arguing.

"Guys, please, shut up, you're waking up Madhat." said Afreen. "No, I want my seat! I'm not waiting with these stupid people, stop the car now!" yelled Nashat to which the driver gets irritated and yelled at him in native language to shut him up. Hearing this, Nashat burst out his temper, turning into a demonic face to which everyone wakes up this time, having been confused over what just happened. "What the hell." said Ali.

"No, not again." said Afreen as she notices this time, the driver took off before they could even get in, having been freaked of the situation while the rest of them stand confused. "What happened? Are we back at the airport again?" asked Nailah as Afreen and Ali approaches them. "Great, you guys remember too this time." said Afreen. "Remember? what do you mean?" asked Nashat. "It's been happening to us, okay? one of us lose their temper, and then suddenly, we're back to where we started, I came back like three or two times maybe, I don't know, it just keeps happening." said Afreen.

"That doesn't sound like final destination." said Ali. "That doesn't make sense, wait.. he turned into a monster, I remember." said Nailah. "No, Nailah, it's a trick, something to wake us up." said Afreen when suddenly a old man who passed them by starts chuckling while he is walking by. "What? what are you smiling for?" asked Ali to which the old man replies something in native tongue and departs away.

"What did he say?" asked Afreen. "He said, we're cursed? this would happen until we die?" asked Nailah.

"He must know something about this, we need to ask him come on." said Afreen who rushes to where he went, only to find him nowhere. "He's gone?" asked Nashat. "No, no, no, this, can't be happening." said Afreen as her cousins and her brother look at her with strange looks. "What? why are you guys looking at me like that?" asked Afreen.

"Your eyes they are... burning, Afreen, what is wrong with you?" asked Nailah as Afreen looks towards her hands to find it burning, which frightens her immediately. "No, no, no, this can't be happening, this can't be.." said Afreen as she sees her hand burning as well, but as she returns to look back at her cousins, all of them are looking her with demonic gestures, almost like they're eyes are going to drop from their faces and smiles so wide, they look unnatural.

"You left your way dear! you left your way!" yelled everyone within the airport in chorus as Afreen looks everyone to look at her with the same gestures to which she frightens. "I didn't leave my way, I didn't.." said Afreen. "You did, and you will pay!" said the chorus voice as everyone takes out a knife and looks towards her which scares Afreen as her eyes burst out in mirrored flames widely and as she starts running, everyone begins chasing her.

"No! stay away, all of you, please, leave me alone!" screams Afreen as the entire crowd corners her, and ultimately grapple onto her almost like a zombie horde, to which she screams in horror.

"Get away from me!" yelled Afreen as she unleashes a wave of energy which bursts out the entire ground which returns herself to reality, within her bed back at home, surrounded by her family who are frightened by her supernatural behaviour.
