Chapter 04

Every second passes, the demonic presence's power fades away as Khayun continues to absorb him.

Soon, as Khayun absorbs its heart, it's form starts fading away as too the fiery minions begin returning to their original form. "You bastard! don't think this is over yet, I will return, and when I do." said the demonic presence before Khayun fully diminishes it, completely consumed it's energies as he hastily awaits. "I.. what... what happened?" asked the cultists in confusion.

Khayun looks upon them with disgust, spits on the soil without looking upon them. "I knew it, I knew it, you were the rightful god, it is you! what do you.." said the cultist before Khayun scares them off with a terrified shout.

Meanwhile in Brampton, Tim wakes up, after having witnessed the scare of Khayun through his dream. "Wow.. what the.." said Tim to which suddenly alarm rings which he turns it off. "Tim, it's time for school, get up." said Tim's mother.

"I'm up, mom." said Tim as he relieves himself from the dream, then begins to ready for school. Soon as he's prepared, he begins to leave, but suddenly his mother shouts. "Tim, stop!" said his mother.

"What?" asked Tim as his mother approaches him. "Be safe out there, okay, have this with you at all times." said his mother as she hands over a tin of pepper spray to him. He receives it, then looks at it with a awkwardly irritated look. "Mom, this is pepper spray." said Tim.

"Yeah, it is, don't spray on yourself." said his mother. "I know, but, mom, why would hand me this?" asked Tim. "For your safety, you forgot what happened." said his mother. "I didn't, but, mom this is.." said Tim before getting interrupted by his mother. "Just take it with you, okay? do not comply, have fun." said his mother as she shuts the door tight. "Mom? Mom!" yells Tim for a moment, not knowing what to do with the Pepper spray, after having no choice, he decides to carry it with him to school.

As he arrives, he looks once more at his school, and it's surroundings, all its busy students with their smartphones and with various types of other activities. While most are busy mingling with other company, there are some who watch other people mingle at a distance. "Me and my fate." said Tim as he heads in, without drawing anyone's attention, he rushes into the school and while he reaches the locker, a feminine voice is heard calling his name.

He looks upon to see it's Selina smiling at her while Irene is ragingly arguing with her, and with Afreen finding it irritating while glancing towards Tim herself. Without a call or a hint, Selina prepares to approach Tim to which Tim suddenly becomes shocked. "Shit.." said Tim as he tries to turn away but finds it too late as he is standing in front of her. "Hey Tim, how are you feeling?" asked Selina.

"Yeah, I'm doing good." said Tim. "So, I thought you wouldn't come today, after you know.." said Selina before getting interrupted by Tim. "Was going to, but couldn't take my mum's yelling." said Tim. "That's cute, so, uhm, I was just thinking, there is a hangout, we were planning and.." said Selina before Ms. Prats calls her name from the classroom door as Selina turns towards her.

"Oh s**t, the assignment (turns towards Tim) here.." said Selina as she takes out a pen and begins writing her number as well as the hangout location. "Meet me here after school, okay?" asked Selina. "Why?" asked Tim in confusion. "To have a chat." said Selina with a wink and turns away as Ms. Prats calls her once more. "Bye.." said Selina as she leaves, leaving Tim confused and weirdly happy in a way he never felt before.

While Selina walks over to Ms Prats, Afreen is seen worried who pulls down her bag and leaves from the place in a rush, despite Irene yelling at her. Soon as class finishes, Tim begins to leave when he is suddenly stopped by Ivan and his friends. "What? what do you want?" asked Tim. "Woah, look at the tone on him, you deserve to be beaten." said one of Ivan's friend.

"Really? you don't have any other work to do? are you that jobless, to go beat down on some random student." said Tim when Ivan bumps him on the wall. "Watch that tone, Tim, or there's going to be.." said Ivan before getting interrupted by Tim. "Or what? what are you going to do?" asked Tim to which Ivan releases, then laughs sarcastically.

Before Tim could speak another word, Ivan ragingly punches down on Tim's stomach, and before he could fight back, his friends start pulling him away. "Hey, boys, what are you doing?" asked Mr. Najimudeen who spots something suspicious about them. "Nothing, Mr. Najimudeen, just a small thing, it's nothing to worry about." said Ivan as he takes away Tim with his friends while Mr. Najimudeen watches, but walks away as if he didn't see anything.

Soon, Ivan and his friends bring him towards the basket ball court, where they beat him mercilessly. He tries to fight back, but seeing as he's outnumbered, he is unable to since different people hold him while one hits. After getting a beat down, he is dropped on the floor, injured and Ivan looks at him with a smirk.

"That.. that is what you get, which you mess with my girl." said Ivan. "Who?" asked Tim. "Who else, dumb a*s? Selina, stay away from here, do you hear me?" asked Ivan to which no response comes from Tim. Just as Ivan and his friends leave, Fiona, who had been watching what they've been doing to Tim all along rushes to check on him.

"Looks like you earned him a girlfriend now." said another friend of Ivan while teasingly knock on her shoulder on purpose as they start laughing. Fiona ignores, and continues onward to help Tim. "I'm so sorry, I wanted to do something but.." said Fiona before getting interrupted by Tim. "It's fine, not like it's been happening recently, it's the same beating, but with different assholes." said Tim.

"Are you okay? why did they do that?" asked Fiona. "It's fine, just bruises, can't believe they brought a fight over a girl." said Tim. "A girl? who?" asked Fiona. "It's her, Selina, can't believe she has relationships with assholes like him." said Tim. "Selina? they fought with you, over Selina?" said Fiona.

"Yeah, that's exactly what I said, why are you repeating?" asked Tim to which Fiona does nothing but murmur confusingly as Tim gets up, clearing the dust off his clothes. "I'm.. sorry, take care." said Tim as he storms off with rush. Feeling guilty for not helping Tim, Fiona decides to inform Selina about what just happened.

Meanwhile, Khayun, after racing towards a random direction, now in a physical form after absorbing the demonic presence itself, finally reaches a park closeby, where it is filled with various sorts of people.

Despite the warnings and safely rules of the pandemic, there appears to be no social distances at all, and even authorities now turned a blind eye towards it. Khayun attempts to step out of the shadows, but the light burns him as he does. "Mommy, look." said a child upon seeing Khayun to which he immediately hides. "What? what did you see?" asked the mother of the child.

"The scary man, he was standing over there." said the child. "Come here." said the mother as she carries the child while looking at the direction sharply.

Khayun steps further through the shadows, and glimpses upon a way to press forward when he sees certain people costumed in thick wool depicted of cartoon characters. While their actions aren't taken seriously by the public, they still continue their work quite effectively.

Khayun bides for the time, until they grow tired and head to take a break, where he immediately follows them. Soon, few of them take off their head piece and start taking cigarettes without anyone's notice behind the trucks.

"I can't do this man, I'm sick and tired of this shit." said one of them. "Neither do we, look at them, they don't give a s**t about us." said another one of them. "Another kid just literally poured s**t all over me when I agreed to carry her, that devil!" said one of them to which they start laughing, driving the attention of their supervisor who sees this and approaches them

"Hey! what's going on here?" asked the supervisor to which they toss away their cigarettes. "Your shits, I mean shifts, ain't over yet, get back to it." said Supervisor to which they nod repeatedly until the supervisor starts smelling the smoke of cigarettes from them.

"What the.. (smells further) you b****y shits! this is a children's pack, kids are here, you little cunts! behave yourselves properly, or otherwise, I might have to cut on your payrolls." said the supervisor to which they start begging towards him.

"Sir! no, please, I have a family to feed, this job depends on me." cried one of them to which the supervisor starts feeling merciful. "Okay, okay, stop with this begging, I've seen enough, go back to your work, before that." said Supervisor as he heads inside out of a sudden, leaving everyone confused.

Soon he returns back with a expired perfume, he had been keeping for years, he opens it and starts spraying at them to which they find weirdly annoying, but unable to do anything.

"There.. this will keep all that smell away, now get back to work, or I'll have to find someone else for the job." said the supervisor as they nod, while one approaches him closer and whispers something upon his ear.

"You wanna pee? freaking i***t, go do it already, don't drop it at the costume, it's expensive." said the supervisor.
