I smiled to myself as I felt the brisk early morning air around me. It was easy enough to slip out of the pack house. There were trees near the balcony of my bedroom that I could easily jump into and climb down from. I had changed into my black camo set and the combat boots I used in covert operations, mostly during my Elite Squad days. I was surprised that there weren't people patrolling the packhouse grounds. Most of the inhabited areas had few or no guards. I suppose they weren't worried about attacks getting that far into their pack lands. Big mistake number 1.
I ran through the forest that surrounded the inhabited areas. I didn't shift into my wolf form because it was hard to mask my scent while shifted, and I'm much quieter in my human form. I had memorized the territory map earlier
