"Pawpaw?" Aspen's sleepy voice startled Godric.
He stood there, staring at the closed door of the suite's bedroom. With the warring parents out of his hair, he had time to condition his grandson. He doesn't want to do this, but if worse comes to worst, the least that he could do was to brace the boy for impact.
Godric did not mean a single word he said to Archie and Prim, but those words were pure. Except for the part of Archie's financial stability. He had to stick to the cover, otherwise, he and Archie would drift apart once more. He found his greatest gift now---Aspen---and he was not going to risk his Pawpaw position for anything else.
