Prim’s POV:
Now that I’ve succumbed to lying and going for what possibly is the dumbest solution to Aspen’s anticipation of a father, I attended to his needs first and his mood had a massive impact on his behavior. He’s not a difficult child, never was, but now that he’s convinced that he has a father, and he’s here now to stay for good---my son is filled with excitement and hope.
Which, by the way, wasn’t my doing.
That silly idea literally came from his good friend, Kevin, and if Archie holds it against me later on. I would be more than glad to shove it in his face.
Today, I made another tough decision. By far, this is the most death-defying thing that I’ve ever done. Because, if Aspen didn’t know of the marriage, I could easily go on with the divorce without him having to know.
