"Archie, a word?" I barged right inside the suite where Archie and Godric were discussing something in very controlled voices in the living area.
Aspen was sound asleep. My poor baby doesn't even have any idea what his parents are going through because of him. But that's beside the point. Godric gave a curt nod, perhaps he was sizing me up. Archie's facial expression remained stoic, which annoyed me. I wish he would let me read him again like he did when he asked me to co-parent effectively.
"Have you reached a decision yet?"
"Yes."
"That was fast." He turned to his father to seek approval, which, in my eyes, was never given. " If I am not mistaken, I gave you until afternoon."
