Relieved that Prim was with Ollie, I walked inside the convenience store that serves as the front for our main office in New York. Our other offices are all well concealed. Disguised as stores, cafés or whatever is inconspicuous to the eye. Gone are the days when underground organizations like Mydas used to take shelter in shady warehouses or foreclosed Marinas. Hordes of cars and people going in and out of there will draw a lot of attention and, instead of being low-key, it will only make it more appealing to those who have curious eyes.
My father used to hate the camouflage I presented but eventually understood how I was envisioning things. A convenience store in the middle of a bustling location will never draw eyes.
