He walked towards me and tried to change my mind. "Oh come on, you can't be that bad looking." He reached his hand out toward my hood and I jumped away, falling to the ground while shaking with fear. "Alexis? Oh my god, Alexis I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." I felt like sobbing, screaming even, but I knew nothing was gonna come out. I waited until I calmed down a little before I stood up and dusted myself off. "I'm sorry Alexis." Was the last thing I heard before my hood was pulled off my head, revealing my face. I stared at him, frozen with fear. He's gonna hit me, laugh at me, mock me. I was so scared I couldn't put my hood back up. "Alexis... why do you have a bandaid on your forehead?" Sam asked, scanning my face. I finally unfroze and put my hand on my forehead, backing away from him. His eyes became foggy for a moment before they cleared up which confused me. What happened? Seconds later I heard faint talking and I instantly took my hood then pulled it over my face again but this time I held it down. "No Alexis please don't cover your face, I need my friend to see it." At that moment I felt something snap inside me, I felt my stomach grow nauseous as I had the urge to start sobbing my heart out. I backed away from him, terrified of what he's gonna do to me for crying like a baby. "s**t, Alexis I didn't mean it like that. You're not ugly, you're a very pretty girl I don't understand why you'd hide behind that hoodie." I shook my head at him but this time he grabbed my wrist so I wouldn't run. I clenched my eyes shut, waiting for him to hit me but nothing happened. "Sam what the hell? Let her go!" Another male shouted. I opened my bloodshot eyes, seeing the second tallest guy glaring at Sam. "But Kyle there's something wrong with her." I felt my eyes get even more teary. Sam and Kyle are gonna bully me... there isn't anything wrong with me, it's all them. I'm not crazy or weird, they are. I yanked my hands out of Sams grip and smashed into the lockers behind me, causing a loud noise to echo through the halls. "Look what you've done you imbecile!" "Please Kyle, listen to me. She isn't what Hunter's into, she's literally broken! She can't speak, she wears LOTS of foundation, she has blue hair for crying out loud, and she flinches every damn time you go near her! Dammit Kyle, why don't you see she isn't good enough! Hunter needs better! We need better!" Sam yelled, frustrated. At this point I had tears flowing out of my eyes, I looked up at them, my hood sliding off my face. Kyle and Sam both realized I was still here and they looked at me, Sam looked like he was caught doing something horrible while Kyle looked at me with pity and shock. "Alexis, we didn't-" Kyle started. I flipped them off as I wiped my tears and stood up, giving them both one final glare, I left the two bewildered as I went back to finish my math class. **** Finally lunch came around and I got my tray of food, walking over to my usual spot, I sat down. My usual spot is directly next to the trash can... I took a sip of my milk but then someone threw a piece of chicken at me, knocking my arm which caused my chocolate milk to spill all over me. Everyone laughed but the new kids, they all just stared at me. Sam stared at me with guilt, pity, and regret. Kyle stared at me with pity and sorrow. Then the unknown guy stared at me with something I couldn't quite decipher. "Check it out guys, blueberry has a crush on one of the new kids!" Amanda shouted, causing everyone to laugh but the newbies. I looked down at my tray of food, feeling more embarrassed than hungry. I got up and threw the food away, heading towards the exit. Now the three new kids think a sea monster likes them... just dandy! "You need to lose a few pounds anyway! Get out of here you skank!" Amanda yelled, earning more people to laugh. I ignored the laughter and kept walking, going to the woman's restroom, I took my hood down. I peeled my bandaid off and grimaced, the wound is a big scab now. I quickly grabbed another bandaid and placed it on the scab. I then put some more foundation on, after rubbing it in I put it away and pulled my hoodie back over my face. I left the bathroom, noticing that the lunch bell rang. This is gonna be a long day.
