Hunter turned around and looked at the female in the doorway. "Oh hey Victoria, this is my good friend Alexis."
I began to get angry at that for some reason. I should already know he didn't like me back but I still had a little bit of hope that he did.
"Hi Alexis!" She said in a cheery voice. The way she spoke to me just made even more rage burn inside me but I forced a smile and hoped it wasn't a grimace.
"Hi Victoria!" I tried to say with just as much enthusiasm, I guess it worked because she smiled brightly back at me.
"Hunter! Can I take Alexis out with me?" She asked, coming over to us. Hunter looked at me and shook his head, a frown on his face.
"No, I'm sorry but she needs to rest so she could heal." Hunter said, watching her stand right in front of us.
