None of the days at the Griffin Sanctuary were the same and yet they quickly blurred together. There was always so much to do but the constant stream of work suited me. I wanted to soak up as much knowledge and gain experience as I could. The heavy workload did mean most of my breaks didn’t line up with my friends so on the rare occasion that we all had lunch at the same time, I was definitely not going to miss out. My stomach rumbled demandingly as I walked my tray of food out of the canteen and scanned the sea of heads whether one of my friends had already arrived.
