I could feel the ominous tension hanging over the Griffin Sanctuary even hidden away in the clinic for boring administrative tasks. All the interns were on edge with the final evaluations and it showed in the communication and energy around me. Not that I blamed them. While not getting a job offer wasn’t the end of the road and there’d still be plenty of later job opportunities, it was devastating and discouraging for anyone. I couldn’t stop thinking about my friends and how them leaving would change the dynamics and atmosphere in the park. There’d be some changes for me too. I’d have to get used to working with the full-time keepers, most of whom I didn’t know and still regarded as my seniors.
