Andrea wanted nothing more than to fight for the pack her family has ran since the beginning. Her brother was about to he the new alpha, leaving her to live in his shadow her whole life. Over looked by her parents, she trained with the warriors since she was old enough, and proved she had a place in her pack. What will happen when she finds her mate, and he wants a different life than she does? Will she be able to be with him and still do what she loves? Or will she have to make a choice fight with her friends, and family or be with the one the moon goddess chose just for her?

The beginning
Andrea hated waking up early on her one day off a month. So when her phone started ringing she contemplated ignoring the call and sleeping the day away like she normally does. All month she has to help train with the rest of the warriors of her pack, Golden Cresent pack, her father is the current alpha. She learned from a young age her parents would never be proud of her, her oldest brother Ashton will become alpha in the near future and her younger brother Jaxon his beta. She wasn't a born a male, so she was tossed aside the minute Jaxon was born. To prove to her parents she was worth something in the pack, she started training every day. Her uncle Bay who is the current beta of the pack allowed her to sit in during the training when she was younger, he is the main reason she wanted to be a warrior so bad. Once she was old enough he would wake her up a 4am. to go train before everyone showed up. Rolling over to see who was calling she reluctantly answered her friends call; "This better be important." Andrea growled into the phone, her friend Chryseis just laughed. "I know today is your day off, but I also knew you would forget about our meeting with Mika and Ida-Mae to discuss our week long border patrol that you talked us into. So get your ass up, and be ready in five I'm on my way to your house." Andrea rolled out of bed and went straight to the bathroom, she knew her friends weren't very thrilled about the whole ordeal, but they did her a solid so she didn't have to deal with the unmated male warriors for a whole week in the woods surrounding their pack. Chryseis true to her word walked right in the door exactly five minutes after the call had ended. Andrea was brushing her teeth when her friend yelled for her, "How much longer are you going to be so I can call them and tell them to meet us at the training hall?" Andrea rolled her eyes, she should have know Chryseis rushed her to get ready when the others wasn't even up yet more than likely. Just her luck to not even sleep past 7am. Ignoring her friend she strolled onto the living area where Chryseis sat casually on her couch, "Are they even awake yet?" She asked. "Probably not, but I'd I wouldn't have woken you up first, all three if you would sleep the day away and we wouldn't have a plan for this weekend when we start out patrol." Her friend said with annoyance in her voice. "Maybe because we only get one day off in a month, where we don't have to wake up at four in the morning to start our jobs." Andrea said cooking her eyebrow. "I understand that, I also have the same job as you guys remember? But your father promised that the four who volunteered to patrol that week gets the next week off. So picture it as you give one day to get seven, also coffee is on me!" She smiled innocently knowing she had used the one card Andrea herself used when talking them into doing it with her. Andrea let out an annoyed sign in defeat. "Call them and tell them to meet us there in twenty minutes." When they walked through the doors of the training hall, Andrea was pleased to notice that Mika and Ida-Mae wasn't happy to be woken up either. Chryseis handed them their coffee and they all walked into the office that uncle Bay had let them use to go over their strategies for the upcoming week. Andrea sat in the black chair behind the desk, she knew since it was her idea to do this they would make her do most of the work. She looked at her friends while she thought about what to do, she knew Mika and her wouldn't be able to work next to eachother. They were close friends for years but they butt heads more than not and it would get in the way of their duties. Looking over at Chryseis she knew that working with her would be a good thing, she always looked at it as work is work, friendships are friendships. And they shouldn't be mixed, even though they worked together quite often if something happened it never affected their friendship. She glance at Ida-Mae, she was a strong warrior and was almost as good as she was at taking control of a situation. It wouldn't be fair to Chryseis or Mika. Making her mind up she opened her mouth to speak but Mika beat her to it. "There is no way in hell we'll be able to work side by side for a whole week Andrea." "Agreed" Andrea answered her friend bluntly. "I was just about to say the same thing, I think it would be best for you and Ida to take the southern half of the border and Chrisy and myself to take the northern half." She added. "Why do you want to take the border so far away from the pack?" Ida chimed in. "Because, if I don't my father is gonna try everything to challenge me on my decision. The northern borders are what's hit the hardest because of it being so far away, if he know that I'm to far away he will leave me alone knowing it would be easier to contact the warriors closer by, and he also knows I'll tell him that as well." Andrea smiled to herself, she had yet to tell her father about her being one of the ones to volunteer. Knowing he'll be unhappy due to who's coming to visit, he can't have his daughter out protecting the pack while his son and future alpha stays behind to celebrate. Hearing a knock at the door they all stopped talking. Uncle Bay told them not to tell anyone how they're going about this, to keep the element of suprise, even though the office was sound proof, they didn't want to risk it. Chryseis got up to answer the door to see Jaxon standing there with a smug grin on his face. He loved starting trouble, especially when UT involved Andrea. "What do you want Jax?" Andrea asked him annoyed. "Does dad know about this?" He asked. "About what? Me having a meeting with my top warriors? I don't know go ask him." She rolled her eyes. "I was meaning that you four are the ones who volunteered. With the alpha king coming for a week he made it clear he needs his whole family to be present. You disobeyed not only your father but your alpha as well sister." She sighed at what he said. "Nobody else was willing, and it's my job to volunteer for stuff like this, I am the top warrior brother. How would it look to everyone if I would have gladly sat this out after they just recognized me as the head warrior?" She laughed. "We'll see if mom and dad see it the same way." He smirked walking out of the room. Not even five minutes later Andrea heard her father's booming voice in her head through the mind link. "GET TO MY OFFICE NOW, ALL FOUR OF YOU." She looked around at her friends and quickly realized that mind link wasn't just towards her, they all stood up and quietly walked to the pack house where her father's office was.
